Very clean upon arrival. Disappointed to find out hot tub was not working and was not told about it until we checked in. Hot tub was main reason for choosing this location. Did receive a refund quickly though for the inconvenience

Great property with plenty of room. We had 12 adults and did not feel cramped at all. Great game room area for rainy evenings. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. Loved the washer and dryer, dishwasher and A/C.

Nice getaway

We were pleasantly surprised. The place was perfect for our group of 7. We usually come to visit with our family of 20, and spend most of our time at their place, but found we liked staying at ours.

Family vacation

We stayed with our son and his family with 2 kids and our daughter and her fiancée. The house had plenty of room for the 8 of us, nice to have extra family room downstairs, bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. Kitchen space worked well and nice to have 2 refrigerators. The expansive deck was wonderful for sitting, reading, dinner and games. The deck could use a good powerwash. When we arrived the deck was clean but a storm came through during the week and there was alot of tree/plant debris on the deck. Would have been nice to have a blower to clean off the deck. The Hot tub cover is waterlogged and should be replaced. All 8 of us, stubbed our toes/feet on two larger cleats that were located on the center corners of the docks. For the adults this happened numerous times. Our son actually hit the cleat so hard on Friday afternoon that his toe bleed. It was very nice to be so close to Eagle River and to see deer, birds and the eagle nearby. If your looking for a good place to swim this was not the location but the Eagle River city beach was about a 5 minute drive away. Pictures showed only 6 dining room chairs and I specifically asked prior to our stay if there were extra folding chairs for the table and was informed there was not. We packed 2 folding chairs along, only to find 2 chairs in the hallway closet and 2 more chairs in a bedroom closet.

Hockey weekend

Nice location on the river (good views). Comfortable beds. LOTS of space. Nice having pool table and foosball (weather was crappy so it gave us activities when not at the rink). Enjoyed our stay.

Excellent Place to Stay

This home exceeded our expectations! Clean, comfortable, roomy for our family of 6 adults. Great location, with plenty to do in town and easy access to the grocery store. We loved hanging out downstairs playing pool and fuse-ball.

Family Get together

Our adult children were in town for a relative's wedding which prompted the get together the following week. We found the VRBO location to be perfect for our needs. The property easily accomodated the 11 of us and the ammenities were as described. Our only issue was with securing a replacement fo rthe missign high chair. the local representaive took 24+ hours to contactus with the repalcement.

Lots of space

Clean and all the kitchen stuff you need plus a gas and a charcoal grill. Note the neighbors have a huge professional type fireworks display so be aware if you have infants or dogs. It is literally right above your deck and house. Location is close to eagle river. Only complaint is that we had a question while there and we never got a call back from the property manager Vacasa.

Worth the trip!

We had a planned trip to ride snowmobiles, but the trails in the area were closed. This house saved the trip! There was a pool table which occupied some time as well as enough seating in the living room to watch some movies. The beds are memory foam and really comfortable also. It was nice for each person to have their own bathroom also. We did not venture to the back of the house though, but looked like a big deck, grill, and fun stuff for the summer time.

Vacation at Kape Eagle Lodge

The cottage was great -- very well stocked -- very comfortable -- we had a great time -- we had to go downstream to water ski and tube -- the disappointing thing is that it is impossible to reschedule for the next year -- looking into 2024 this cottage is all booked -- we are back to square one again -- will be hard to find another rental for 2024

Roomy but cozy house in great location

Plenty of room to spread out and lots of places to gather. Loved the location - close to downtown but tucked away on the water. We had coffee down by the water every morning and spotted otters and an eagle that cruised by daily. Enjoyed the fire pit and the well stocked kitchen. The pool table came in handy on a rainy day. This house is made for a big group w plenty of bathrooms and comfy beds. Very clean and well maintained.

Halloween Weekend

Normally, we would not ever rent a 'pet-friendly' place due to allergies, but the location was exactly what we were looking for for this getaway. Outside of a stained carpet/rug in an upstairs bedroom, we were pleasantly surprised that there was no other evidence of recent pet usage outside of the guest book. There was zero dog smell, or pet hair, which we greatly appreciated. Otherwise, this property was everything the listed said it was, clean, spacious and lovely. We had plenty of room for our family activities and meals, and enjoyed the game room. The view was spectacular, day and night. The outside space was great, we were fortunate to have temps near 70 this late in October so were able to enjoy the outdoors more than anticipated. Our only cleanliness issue was a a pair of dirty frying pans we pulled out of the cabinet, but were easily cleaned in a few minutes and we were on with our meal. As far as the property goes, absolutely nothing negative and would stay there again. Our only negatives were some of the communications with the 3rd party property management, and we will address those in a review on their site. Nothing but positives for the owner and their lovely property, everyone in the family agreed they'd love to stay there again.

Really " COOL" Location

Awe Inspiringly Sophisticated and Beautiful inside and out! The pictures online make some rooms look small, They are not. We absolutely Loved everything about it and didn't want to leave. I took a million pictures and the memories are "priceless"! I'm kind of afraid to tell anyone and show my pictures in fear of the Kape Eagle Lodge always being reserved by others and that I will never get to stay there again! Thank You so very much to the owners for sharing this peace of heaven with others!!
