'Wij vonden de Black Orchid een heel prettig hotel aan het einde van onze vakantie. Het is in de buurt van het vliegveld, dus je kan er makkelijk je laatste nacht doorbrengen. Verder zijn er kano's en fietsen die je gratis mag gebruiken om de erg mooie omgeving te verkennen. Wij zijn naar de Baboon Sanctuary gefietst, wat een stevig tochtje was, maar zeer de moeite waard. Het personeel is erg hulpvaardig, maar niet opdringerig en de prijzen voor het eten en drinken zijn niet laag, maar gewoon...

'Erg vriendelijk en hulpvaardig personeel. Hotel ligt afgelegen, maar personeel bracht en haalde ons op van de verzamelplaats (Benge’s Store) van onze ATM-tour, georganiseerd door MayaWalks. De erg ruime royal suite was geweldig mooi, er zijn handdoeken voor bij het zwembad. De maaltijden die we hebben genuttigd in het hotel waren allen erg lekker. Een echte aanrader!'

'Zeker een aanrader! In het midden van de natuur waar je ook makkelijk kan hiken op de trails. Het personeel is ook super vriendelijk en zal je helpen met alles wat nodig is. Er is een natuurlijke creek waar je in kan zwemmen en in het goede seizoen is het water mooi blauw.'

'What an amazing hotel & room. This is one of our favorites of all time. We stayed for 3 nights Food: Every meal was fantastic as we ate breakfasts and dinners at the hotel. The fry jacks at breakfast were superb. The prices were reasonable for the meal we ate. The selection changed at each meal. Even our picky eater was very happy. 'Chan Chich is an exquisite adventure melding together experiencing Mayan Ruins, jungle experience with a conservation twist. We loved our daily interactions with staff to include Cali who is an expert mixologist, Emil who made everything look easy, Sean who always had a smile, and the wonderful cook Ian. Every meal was absolutely amazing! Maria and Abdiel took care of all our needs at reception including booking excursions and chartering flights. And of course our expert guides Ruben and Louise...

'A spacious and unique house with character - I was concerned when I read a review about it being run-down and dated, but that person must have been expexting a Hyatt. This house is right on the river with a wonderful veranda around the side and back, screened porches at each end of the house, a large well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds.
