The apartment is part of a two-family home nestled among carob trees, where tranquility reigns and the silence is broken only by the song of cicadas; staying at Case Buglia is like being at home. The apartment is well-equipped with everything you need—there are even beach umbrellas and two beach chairs. In fact, there are many beautiful beaches less than a half-hour drive away, though to tell the truth, relaxing by the pool is just as pleasant in the peaceful garden of the house. A few dips in the pool, a good book in the shade of the trees or under a beach umbrella, an aperitif by the pool, and a fish barbecue with fish bought at the local market on the provided grill—what more could you ask for? From a more practical standpoint: to reach the house, you’ll need to drive down a dirt road—actually, it’s a typical country road—where you’ll need to drive with a bit of caution, but it’s perfectly manageable. The house is located halfway between Ragusa and Marina di Ragusa—the hub of the local nightlife—where you’ll find supermarkets, shops, restaurants, local markets, and more. During the day, not too far away are Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Noto, Scicli, Donnafugata, and a different beach every day. After sightseeing or a day at the beach, pick up what you need, take a refreshing dip in the pool, then cook a leisurely dinner, or perhaps dive into the nightlife until late at night and sleep in the next morning as long as you like in complete peace and quiet. The apartment is equipped with air conditioning, mosquito screens, a washing machine, and a very comfortable mattress; it also features a spacious outdoor area with a breathtaking view. In short, this is an experience we highly recommend to those who don’t like being in the midst of the hustle and bustle and crowds, but want to savor the peace, silence, and Ragusa countryside with the sounds and colors of nature.
