The interior is of high quality, comfortable and harmonious with the building. The villa is perfect for 2 people, not suitable for children under 12 due to the sloping terrain. Even hobby astronomers get their money's worth, because of the location of the Finca there is almost no stray light and the stars are within reach.
The name Palomar stands for "dovecote" and that is also the name of the area directly on the cliffs of Puntagorda. On the north side of the house there is a gorge that opens to the sea and leads to the "Punta Gorda", the "thick headland". Their shelter offers a home to many and rare species of birds. You hear - beyond the often encountered silence - the most different bird species communicate with each other, so that the term "dovecote" is also quite suitable for this area. The modern and very comfortable renovated Villa Palomar offers on 65 sqm not only all the comfort and luxury, but also from all rooms a spectacular view of the sea and the beautiful Atlantic coast. The outdoor shower is located east of the pool area, is protected from wind and privacy, but at the same time allows a fantastic view over the landscape to the sea. Cozy sun loungers and lounge furniture make your stay at the saltwater pool a special experience. Here you have a 180 degree view of the sparkling sea and a beautiful sunset all year round.
The interiors, which have been renovated to the most modern standard, are flooded with light through enormous windows and literally bring the wonderful nature into the house. All rooms have underfloor heating. From the shower in the bathroom you can see the sea.
The large, open plan eat-in kitchen with conservatory includes a white Bosch kitchen with Extra Silence dishwasher, an induction hob, oven and a fridge with freezers. The pots, crockery, cutlery and also the glasses are of brand quality and guarantee a stylish cooking and eating. A rattan sofa bed with glass table and a rattan lounger invite you to read and relax. A vaulted large screen also allows all German and foreign Astra programs on TV.
The bedroom has a double bed with orthopedic natural rubber mattresses, which are ideal for the individual body to adapt, ensure a relaxed sleep and allergy-friendly. The ergonomic construction of the mattresses supports and relieves the spine. They are therefore ideal for people with back problems. The pillows and comforters are filled with silk and camel fluff and covered with organic linens so that best sleep conditions are given. A closet, a comfortable chair and modern touch-screen lights as well as a unique view over the avocado plantation and the sea complete this space for rest and relaxation.
The bathroom has a modern, floor-to-ceiling glass shower with rainwater shower head and fantastic sea views beyond the window to the bedroom. Sink, toilet and all bathroom cabinets are German brand quality and provide ample space for all utensils. A hair dryer and hand and bath towels are available in the best organic quality.

The fenced Finca area covers approximately 8,000 square meters with citrus fruits, olive trees, avocados, mangos, agaves, figs, Moringa, an endemic cactus garden as well as palm trees and ornamental plants of all kinds.

Villa Palomar is located about 3km below the center of Puntagorda in a secluded location on a headland adjacent to a gorge. The villa is easily accessible via a normal tarred road. A rental car is essential. Shops and restaurants can be found in the tranquil village of Puntagorda.
Puntagorda in the northwest of the island has various small shops, a pharmacy, a butcher, banks with ATMs, a post office, restaurants, typical bars, a German cafe with delicious cakes and a public swimming pool. At the weekend there is a market "Mercadillo", where you can buy fruit and vegetables, many local products and handicrafts. In January, almond trees start to bloom in Puntagorda. In late January or early February, Puntagorda celebrates its popular almond blossom festival and the entire northwest shines in delicate pink and white. The area around Puntagorda is a must for nature lovers. There are many varied hiking trails, viewpoints, some old windmills and a beautiful pine forest "El Fayal" with barbecue and picnic area and children's playground.
In El Puerto you have access to the sea. There is no beach, but in the summer months you can swim in the sea. In winter this is too dangerous because of the currents.
Puntagorda is ideal for exploring the north of La Palma and the highest point of the island, the Roque de los Muchachos. In about 45 minutes you are in Los Llanos with the famous Plaza de España and the beautiful Canarian streets and houses. The sandy beach of Tazacorte is just over 30 minutes away.
