Great 1 bedroom on the 5th floor of the Sonoran Sea. A stay here is a great way to experience the best of a convenient Mexican beach destination.

The resort grounds are well kept, and there is are a lot of details that make for a great vacation, You will find large and clean swimming pools, chaise lounges, BBQ grills, secure parking and more. The town is the home of the world's freshest shrimp - head down to the fish market at the Malecon to pick up the days catch and prepare it in your well-stocked kitchen.

There were several issues, upon arrival, gate guard could not find my reservation. Parked the car, went in the guard shack and pointed him out my reservation on the list. After that no problem. Check in-desk took 15 min with the couple in front of us. No information was given to us regarding internet, restaurant closing for three weeks on Sunday. She confirmed what I was being charged though. When got to the room, phone did not work, had to walk down to desk to tell them. They sent someone promptly who checked it out and informed us that phone does not work. Realized that internet code or instruction were not provided , since could not call, walked down again and they sent someone to show where the codes were… I called the office for Casago and gentleman was very cordial and helpful in sending someone to check internet, phone and hot water. All gif working except the phone. Next day smoke detector started beeping, once again ( no phone to call the desk) walked down to report. Desk sent someone promptly to change the battery. Place was clean, good security. As a resort, landscape could be better. We were in west building of the property. Food in the restaurant was good and so was service. They told us that tomorrow is their last day so we went again for dinner. They were closing for three weeks, a scheduled shut down, restaurant staff was excellent. They recommended a place for breakfast since they were closed and it turned out to be great experience for breakfast, overall ok

Beautiful condo amazing staff

We were amazed at the staff every morning, cleaning the pool and the chairs. We felt safe. And the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant had great food. My husband loved his shrimp ceviche, which he had a few times. Close to shopping.

Awesome view

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo was beautiful and very comfortable. We would have liked a little more info about the resort (resturants, bars, menues). It was cold in the evening and mornings, some extra blankets would have been nice. Oh and theres no beach towels. A shop down the road helped us out. Overall great stay.

Beach vacation

The place was equipped with everything that we needed. The place was nice and looked out onto the water. We did notice tiny little ants on the counter, which were hard to see. Made it seems like it was not as clean as we first thought.

Traumatizing…

We witnessed people being electrocuted in the hot tub from our balcony. A man died and was left laying alone on the grass until the coroner came. It was horrific and traumatic. We still love Puerto Peñasco and the Sonoran Sea, and our room was wonderful - but this trip was truly heartbreaking. We are still upset and shook up from it all.

Sonoran Sea January 28-31

I have been saying at a Sonoran property for many many has and always a pleasure. This stay the Sonoran sea mentioned construction however I was disappointed that te poo construction occurred the whole day just below our unit on 5th floor. I was sadly unable to enjoy the balcony. I did go to the other pool but the combination of the jackhammer goi g through enemy and the music being played by the construction workers was disturbing. A beautiful weekend away was not as enjoyable as expected. I will not be staying at the Sonoran Sea ever again. I was also reprimanded by front desk that I should have read the website and was that a supervisor would call me which did not occur.

End of summer get away

This is our 3rd time staying at the Sonoran Sea, our first time staying in a different condo, our first 2 trips we stayed in the same one. Our other unit we stay in is a end unit which I feel had a better view but thats just preference for me. The unit was clean an stocked for whatever you need for cooking. We only needed a good coffee pot, which we had. It has a remodeled bathroom which we enjoyed much more then the standard tub/shower combo. The AC worked amazingly, the humidity was very high and the AC was wonderful after a long day a in the sun. It has a closet full of beach gear, chairs, toys, ect. We didn't use anything but its there for use. Our only complaint would be the bed, there is a huge dip in the center and you roll into it in the night, we had to line it with pillows so we could stay out of it but there were plenty of pillows to use and extra blankets. Check in was easy, right to the front desk, check in get keys and bracelets and we arrived about an hour early and our unit was ready so we were able to get changed and enjoy the pool. We loved this property and will alway be back, the pools are great, the swim up bar is a plus, and they will bring you drinks and food no matter where you sit, and the restaurant has great food if you want to stay on the property. There are a few restaurants in walking distance as well if you don't want to drive and theres an ice cream shop that is so yummy.
