I had stayed at this property before when it was operated by Omni hotels. It's clear that the property has not been maintained to the previous standards, but it is still an acceptable place to stay.
On the positive side, the staff were extremely friendly, and tried to be helpful. However, unlike a normal hotel, there is nobody on staff after hours, so if you have an issue, it won't be resolved promptly.
When I checked in, my room has lots of little ants everywhere, including running around on the bed. The sink in the bathroom didn't drain, and the water pressure in the shower was a slow dribble. The plumbing fixtures were all leaking, and were clearly hadn't been maintained. When I reported these issues, the staff were attentive, and tried to do what they could, but didn't actually resolve any of the issues. Luckily, the ants weren't the biting variety, so rather than switch hotels, I decided to deal with it.
On the plus side, the pool area is very well maintained, the property is clean, and the drinks, food from the pool bar were good. I didn't try any of the other restaurants on the property. The AC in the room was excellent, as was the wifi.
There were 3 significant power outages during the week I was there, ranging from 3hrs to 7hrs, and this was the whole area, not specific to the hotel. The reason I'm mentioning it, is that none of the emergency lighting in the hotel worked when the power was out. This means no light in the staircases, hallways, etc.
