Great home, great host, great home! Super clean and immaculate. I loved the scenery from the primary bedroom and the walk to the rocky beach. I would definitely stay here again!Just be aware, it is close to a part of Acadia National Park (Winter Harbor) not the the main park near Bar Harbor, but it’s beautiful none the less. I would say it’s a 45- 55 drive to Bar Harbor on a typical day. We wish we had more time here!

This home was perfect for our family vacation! Our children and grandchildren joined us and had much fun in the pool, while we enjoyed the peace and quiet the large bay frontage allowed us. Our dog had a wonderful time, the house is very dog friendly and the dogs who like to swim, as ours does, there is a small bay 500 yards away that is safe for them to do so. Awesome place!

The location was fantastic, views everywhere you looked.Watched seals ,hunted the rocks for treasures. Visited Scoodic Point several times, tried several hikes.Ferry to Bar Harbor was the easy way to get there.Kids loved having the pool but it was very cold so the adults not so much, pools in New England need to be heated, The property was as described, very clean and well stocked.Definitely a return sometime.

Amazing and relaxing

This stay was really amazing. The pool, the views, the ocean air, the extensive and well-maintained lawn provided us with lots to do with four families gathered together ages ranging 3-70. Excellent location for viewing the ocean, crab hunting, flying kites, endless hours at the pool, we hardly wanted to leave the house! But when we did, Schoodic was only 10 minutes away and another small, quaint, and quiet beach about 5 minutes away. There is a great lobster tour only 5 minutes away in Corea that I would highly recommend as well.

Relaxing place to stay.

This home is in a quiet area. It is a little further away from some of the main touring areas. However, it is a wonderful, relaxing, peaceful place to spend time with family and not be among the crowds. The view is wonderful. There is a small table and chairs at the far end of the property, and if you sit there, you can see the lighthouse. We did not use the pool. The air temperature was a little too chilly for us. The pool is enclosed in a privacy fence. If you are in the pool, you cannot see the view. That may not be clear in the photos. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. Each bathroom had a little starter kit of shampoo and lotions. The kitchen was well stocked and even had some spices and coffee filters. The house was in good condition no loose door knobs or missing lightbulbs, etc. The rental company was terrific! I was given an answer to any question I asked almost immediately. It was an easy and comfortable home to rent.

Fabulous Location!

Huge home definitely suitable for large family or two couples! 3-4 minute walk to easy access small swimming area. Views views views!! Pristine pool. Place is sooo clean and thoughtful things to both parties - furniture throws, extra bedding, tons of kitchen amenities, soaps, laundry stuff, food wraps. 10 minutes to Winter Harbor for breakfast/gourmet coffees and grocery store with fresh seafood. We ate in 3 nights because of accessible excellent quality seafood delivered daily to Winter Harbor Provisions store. Less than 10 minutes to Scoodic scenic drive. We did ferry to Bar Harbor and toured around Mt Desert Island but final vote is that the Schoodic area of the park including campground is the best. Price appears hogh at forst but if you see how huge the house and grounds and exterior seating areas are it is absolutely understandable. Two couples can definitely share this home and have plenty of separate space. Only tiny gripe cause i have a bad back is that hot water setting could be warmer.

Great Maine stay!

My family and I traveled with friends to Maine all the way from Texas and New Mexico. This house was the highlight of our trip! Just a beautiful spot. We were very comfortable. The weather was too cool to use the pool, but we still had a great stay here.

This property is amazing. It reminds me of the sprawling houses you see of old time stars homes of Beverly Hills. We had our family and our grown kids and our grand kids. We do a one week get together every year and this property made it everyone’s all time favorite place. One day we drove to Acadia Park then to Bar Harbor. But honestly we all wanted to just enjoy the pool, the vast lawn and the fabulous harbor and lighthouse view. I am a morning person and sitting in the back yard and watching the lobster boats with my morning coffee was the best. The late nighters loved having cocktails at the back yard table facing the lighthouse. This place is amazing. The owners were always there ready to answer questions. Great yard for games and children to run.

Lovely stay in Prospect Harbor

This home is very large, well stocked and very well cared for. We thoroughly enjoyed the large yard, patio and pool on the beautiful harbor. When we had a technical issue in the home, the property manager was immediately available to work with us to resolve. The home is fairly remote with the drive to Bar Harbor taking about one hour.

Amazing Maine getaway

The views are amazing. The kids loved being near a lighthouse and having breakfast at the little table by the water. The sunrise and sunsets on the water were beautiful. The property is huge and well kept we enjoyed playing the lawn games and watching the kids running and playing and talking to the decoys as if they were real pets. The patio was great and the table setup was large enough for all of us to sit together and eat, play games, talk, and enjoy the sea air and the view. I wish we could have enjoyed the pool more. But mother nature wasn’t kind and turned the pool green. The pool guy was there 3 times during our 4-night stay trying to clear it up. We did manage one afternoon to go for a short swim. So, all is good. The house was well stocked with all the essentials in the kitchen and bathrooms. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was peaceful and relaxing. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Amazing and remote stay

We loved this house! Very clean and spacious. The pool is huge and was a big hit with our kids! The house came stocked with all the essentials in the kitchen and bathroom (like coffee filters, oil, salt, sugar, shampoo, conditioner, etc) which was perfect on arrival day. We loved the quaint town and remote location. This is a wonderful home, plus check in and check out was a breeze!

The Quiet Side of the Park

The pictures online don’t do justice to the spaciousness of the house. Wonderful location. Large pool. Only drawback was that the pullout couch mattress is quite uncomfortable, and the showers were tepid, not hot. But we had a great time here.
