'Property is on a beautiful flat beach with tons of shells. Our room was quiet and faced the parking lot. King bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was ample with 24 hour hot water and coffee in the lobby. We did not use the pools but there were 4- Lazy River, 1.5 foot wading pool, regular pool and an indoor pool with jacuzzi. Would definitely rebook this one!'

'We really enjoyed our stay here. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, giving suggestions for things to see in the area. We made good use of the hot tub! Daily breakfasts were great. Our room was perfect.'

'Sea Side room has a great view and the sound of the waves is amazing '

'This property has lots of little gimmicky amenities to technically meet the standards of a 4 star hotel. Robes, toiletries, cookies, room service, games, etc. However, it is an older, but remodeled hotel with some cleaning and maintenance issues, a poor breakfast offering and virtual system for check in and check out which is kind of weird. We got a room that slept four so our daughter could have a bed, but the fold out couch had dirty sheets and folded out in front of the bathroom door. ...

'While this property was built in 1939 and therefore are smaller rooms, it has retained the lovely charm of its day and incorporated modern amenities. It is well-maintained and clean. Breakfast was good and the staff was attentive to the area. While the dunes prevent a view of the ocean, it is just a short walk to the beach. It is close to the Wright Brothers National Memorial and Monument, which was our primary reason for our stay.'

'The staff was terrific and attentive to whatever was needed. It is always a pleasure to stay at the Sanderling.'

'First, the "oceanfront" label is misleading. You cannot see the ocean from this property — and as every beach traveler knows, we pay extra for oceanfront specifically to *see the ocean*. Neither Expedia nor the property's own listings make this clear. They need to be honest about this in their advertising. Second, privacy and security are real concerns. My suite's sliding door opens essentially straight onto the beach with no barrier — I never felt safe leaving it open to hear the waves,...

'Loved that there was a continental breakfast included as well as an evening wine and snacks provided. Perfect location for beach access. Only suggestion I would have is having beach chairs and a pool shade umbrella - even for a fee. We flew in and rented a car so had to go out and purchase beach chairs'

'Nice location for one night stay'
