Downtown Cottage 3 bdrm 2 bath Newly remodeled

The Downtown Cottage is a newly remodeled modern/cottage style house. It is a quaint house tucked away in the pine trees just 2 minutes from beautiful downtown Prescott. It is fully furnished and ready for you to enjoy an amazing get away. There is a King bed in the master, a queen bed in guest room#1, and 2 twin beds in guest room #2. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for you to cook many meals. You are within minutes from tons of hiking and biking trails, restaurants, and shopping.
I do allow pets, as long as you pay the $100 pet fee.

The host was easy to work with. She communicated very well. We found the house to be in a good location. The driveway is steep and narrow so having two vehicles required some navigating, but we got it. The house could use some updates and you can see the age. The appliances such as the blender in the pantry was extremely old. The floors were creaky and the steps to the backyard could use some repairs. Overall, the space was clean but would recommend updating/replacing the mattresses and bedding to be more comfortable. Also the when we'd open and close the refrigerator door the freezer door would get a little loose.

There is a huge difference between a space being tidy and a space being clean. Many things in this house were not clean: spare blankets were soiled, the kitchen shelves, counters, coffee maker, floors were filthy, there were footprints on bathmats from previous guests. The first morning of our stay I found mouse droppings under the kitchen sink. I immediately messaged the host, and a handyman was sent out to set traps. On morning two, h came back because a mouse had been caught, and he set more traps. By that evening, a second mouse had been caught. I dealt with the second mouse myself and advised the host that an exterminator was needed. By the third morning, two more mice had been caught. After four dead mice in three days, when I told the host that we would be finding accommodations elsewhere, she said she was sorry that we felt we needed to leave. After nothing more from her for 24 hours, we reached out to VRBO hoping to get some help. When they contacted her, she lied to VRBO customer service about the mice. Even though VRBO customer service has access to our message thread where she acknowledged the mice in the kitchen, they would not do anything to help us because I did not take any pictures for proof of the mice.

This place was absolutely amazing!!!! It was beautiful, clean, and incredibly well stocked with everything we needed to feel right at home! It is wonderfully decorated, cozy and comfortable. It is also in a quite neighborhood, surrounded by pine trees and you can see the stars at night but it is also very close to anything you might need. The host was very responsive and seems to really care about their guests. And to top it all off the price is great. I couldn't be happier and would HIGHLY recommend staying here.

Overall happy - water pressure needs improvement

The property itself was fine. Single bed in one bedroom extremely uncomfortable and water pressure in kitchen was extremely low and made washing dishes a challenge. Floor was super squeaky and noisy which woke others trying to sleep when early risers had to get up early to work. It fit our needs for this trip and there weren’t any issues. Ac worked great!

Location was good, House was very clean, howeverthe parking a challenge for more than one car,due to a steep narrow driveway. We parked 2nd carin the area down by streetWe could not get hot water in the kitchen sink even after letting it run for 30 min.There was no cable tv & very difficult to access various channels no written directions & we needed to obtain a code to access most. We have rented numerous VRBO's & all have provided a book with information guests may need, instructions for the house, the TV,phone & addresses for nearby clinics, gas, stores, etc.& while not a requirement, most places we have rented had a nice supply of foil, baggies, saran wrap etc., maybe a note requesting to replace it if empty, which we always have done.
