When first booking the property I was sent a 5 page rental agreement that was rigid and intense (500 fee for noise complaints just as an example). I wasn’t comfortable with the agreement and wanted to choose another place because of it, but they wouldn’t let me cancel the rental without a fee so we went anyway. The rental was nice and spacious, but wasn’t clean. The rug was disgusting, dirty dishes in the cabinet, floors were gross, blinds broken, light upstairs broken, and balcony door lock was broken. I reached out to the rental company and they were helpful - sent out a person to clean it again while we were there and she was great. But they did tell me that they knew the rug needed replaced and they were waiting on the owner to buy a new one. And they knew the balcony door was broken and were going to have a locksmith come (we declined as we didn’t want strangers in our kids room). They failed to mention any of these things before we arrived. Overall it was … meh. I appreciated that they attempted to make things right, but was annoyed that it was ever an issue (and that they knew some of it before hand and didn’t tell us). The rental agreement makes it sound like you’re renting the Taj Mahal, but the property wasn’t even clean. The location also was “just ok”.
