This property and the coastal village were a wonderful part of our mother-daughter trip to France! My 3 sisters, mother and I stayed here for 3 nights as we explored Normandy. My mom is 75 and has some mobility issues, so we ended up setting her up on the sofa bed on the first floor so she didn't have to navigate the stairs that proved to be a bit more difficult than we expected. There are a few steps to climb to enter the property with a lip to step over as you go through the door. The first floor (ground floor) of the property is multi-level with a few steps up to the kitchen and a toilet/bathroom. The bedrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors (1st and 2nd in European terms). It is a beautiful old property! With beautiful ocean views! But that means that there are creaky stairs and other things that accompany older properties. The bathrooms and kitchen are very modern and we took advantage of the washer and dryer! By the lengthy instructions left by the host there must have been some issues with operating the fireplace in the past and there was a smoky smell that bothered my sisters (I live in an older home that has a smoky smell - so it smelled like home to me.) We appreciated all of the conveniences that were thought of by the host! And the quick responses we had to any questions! (The parking area in the front of the property was always available for us, but it was a little tricky to navigate getting in and out as there was not enough room to turn our van around, so my sister had to back out. A much smaller car could probably turn around, but it is helpful to know that it is a dead end.) We enjoyed delicious food in the village and lots of shopping! We drove to the D-day sites and Mont St. Michel while we stayed here. I wish I could have stayed longer! And I hope to bring by husband here some day! I definitely recommend this property!
