The property is beautiful and we would have really enjoyed the stay. Because we were traveling on business and going to have a long day the host was going to allow us to check in a couple hours early. Unfortunately, the code to the lock had been changed with no notification. I did not have the direct phone number to reach her so we spent 3 hours trying to get in touch with her and finally did through VRBO. 3 messages to the host from Starbucks (which we had to find went unanswered for over another hour). It was then after 5:30 in the evening before we got the changed code and could get in the house. So exhausted and frustrated. Almost gave up and went to a hotel although the reservation was fully paid and confirmed. I will search again now that we are back to the office, but there was also no apology for giving us the wrong code. Would we stay again, yes. But it ruined the non-business part of our trip completely. By the time we had dinner and got back to the house, it was time to sleep to start again on business at 6:00 a.m. so we had almost no time at the house. At least, an explanation of how such a mistake could have been made and why nobody reached out to us at check in time is unimaginable to me. I was okay but my Vice President, who did the 4 hours of driving to go with our 5 hours of work stops was so tired he was very frustrated which is not fun to see in your employees or anyone. Hopefully, one day we will get the chance to stay again and enjoy the house
