Overall, this was a very nice and comfortable place. The only downsides were that there wasn’t enough toilet paper, trash bags or paper towels. There were also some roaches in the house. The outside stairs were wobbly, as well. This place was pretty nice, though, for the most part!

Great location

Location was great. We couldn't get the TV to work but that wasn't a big deal for us. We played games every night and enjoyed family time. Property was clean and there is plenty of room for everyone!

Beach trip

The house was nice great location and beautiful! However it would’ve been nice to have more trash bags, laundry soap, dishwasher pods, toilet paper and paper towels available for our large group that for a 3 night 4 day stay. We ended up having to purchase more toilet paper because there was only 4 rolls left for us and only 3 trash bags. The fridge was not cold when we got there and it took almost two days for the freezer to start working. It took the host a while to respond back when I messaged about the refrigerator because we brought lots food and we were afraid we were going to lose it all and all they recommended was to use our coolers. Luckily it did eventually cool and freeze. The biggest thing was the lack of supplies left for such a large group that was staying other than that we enjoyed our stay

Nice but not as great as you think

Broken deck chairs. Only 1 chair was available to sit in. Toilet clogged and toilet broken, kitchen sink leaked. tv broken, lights burned out. Nice area to stay in but too many things broken and not fixable while we were there.

Right where we needed to be.

We go down with a large group. This VRBO was right in the middle of our group. Close to the beach and where our friends were staying. Great place and was very happy with our trip.

Great family getaway!

We loved this property! Close to beach, plenty of beds and pillows, great table for games, we will definitely consider staying again!! Bring mosquito spray because they are quite vicious after sunset.

Disappointed

When we arrive the place was not clean, the beds had not been made, they were still dirty from the people before us. The island was full of stuff, there was a vacuum cleaner still out just laying on the floor. There were dirty towels and linen in the washroom on the floor. The fridge was dirty there were dirty dishes in the sink. I called and emailed about this, I did get a fairly quick response, I was told they would come back and finish cleaning but would be awhile as she was in Galveston. I was also told they would refund the cleaning fee for the inconvenience. So we left, loaded our bags back into the car to allow time for them to come back and finish cleaning. Mind you when we came to check in it was after check in time by approx 30-45 mins. We came back by a couple hours later they were there cleaning so we continued to stay away for another hour Once it was clean and we were able to go back, we had a nice stay, the place met our needs. Once we got back home I kept checking for my refund. I never received it, reached out to Evolve was told they would get me the refund and that she had tried to email me while we were there to bring it by. We were on vacation, I didn't check my emails, and they had my number and could have called as well but did not. I went back and forth with them for several weeks, was given the run around, told several times I would get my refund, that was more than a month ago, still no refund!!

Beautiful Property

My husband and our family came down to surprise his childhood friend for his 50th. We came across this absolutely beautiful property. It was so nice and such a relaxing area we wanted to spend more time here than with his friend! Wonderful location and absolutely beautiful wide open home. We definitely will put this on our list as a go to when we visit again.

Great place to stay with plenty of room for our family. No complaints but wish there would’ve been more trash bags. Overall, it was great! The kids loved sleeping in the loft.

Need more accuracy

The VRBO and EVOLVE sites are not accurate in regards to information about the rental. Everything worked and met our basic needs. Beds need to be updated with new mattresses because the foam padding that has been added shifts around and is to small for the bed. Needs new coffee pot due to almost rusted through heat plate. No toiletries were provided and bath mats need replacing. The light over the sink was out in the shower bathroom and since maintenance lives in Galveston it would be attended to M-F. Quick solution would be to keep a few light bulbs handy at the house with a keyed access. I would consider renting again if the mattresses are replaced.
