'Just got home after a lovely stay at Rowton Castle. The staff were amazing could not do enough for you. Food was good and excellently presented. The grounds were amazingly kept. First visit but definitely not the last.'

'Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. 'Friendly helpful staff in a lovely setting.😊'

'Very clean, newly refurbished pub in a good location with interesting artistic decorations by local artist who owns the property. Good base to explore this part of the Wales/England border. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We ate at the pub both nights and evening meal was also very good. Lovely staff. Parking seemed to be no problem, either in pub's very small car park or on roads in village.'

'It was fine, nice surroundings and quiet'

'Wonderful stay, special thanks to cheryl, the lovely breakfast lady '

'Great location for a place to stay in Shrewsbury. Abbey Foregte is close enough to the town centre for walking in, but quiet enough for staying. Parking was plentiful at the weekend. Room had everything you needed - plenty of tea & coffee, as well as corkscrew and wine glasses 😉. Would recommend staying here.'

'- very nice room - great food - very comfi dining area - very large seating area outside - great selection of ales & beers - very friendly staff'

'Property was beautiful. Fixtures & fittings high quality. Parking free and easy access into the Town Centre on foot.'

'The hotel is spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and give good advice of the area. It is a lovely walk into the town too. The food was exceptional everything of choice you could possibly wish for.'

'Nice staff. Good location 👌'

'Het hotel ziet er oud en prachtig uit. We hadden een mooie sfeervolle kamer die schoon en netjes was. Vriendelijk en gastvrij personeel en voldoende parkeergelegenheid op eigen terrein. Genoten van lekkere bieren van de tap en lekker gegeten!'

'Very new, lovely hosts absolutely dog friendly, our dog had his own breakfast everyday! It is rural, so sometimes internet glitches, but we were there over a stormy weekend and the electric substation across the road blew up. Power was back on very quickly.'

'Tired, run down hotel in need of investment. No breakfast, no lifts'
