Robins Retreat - orchard with hot tub - see extras

Overlooking the beautiful Cuckmere River and the South Downs, within a private apple orchard sits Robins Retreat. A handmade Shepherds Hut within the South Downs National Park - Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We are located within a stones throw of the historic and beautiful village of Alfriston.

Experience local wildlife outside your window, inhale the fresh country air and be amazed at the surrounding countryside, which has so much to offer.

Welcome to Robins Retreat, we hope you enjoy your stay within our orchard. This is the perfect place to relax and explore. Sleeps 2 adults so perfect for a romantic getaway - why not bring your dog too!

We provide contact free check-in.

With self-catering facilities, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay. The kitchen has a fridge with freezer, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave/convection oven, a toaster and kettle.

Outside you can enjoy the firepit area and wood fired hot tub (please see extra's) whilst gazing up at the stars.

Wi-Fi is limited and cannot be guaranteed

The hut has a kingsize bed that can be stowed away to provide additional room including a seating area.

There is a bathroom, which has a toilet, sink and a walk-in shower.

Linen, towels and a hair dryer are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.

* Wood fired hot tub £50 per night for the duration of your stay (e.g 3 night stay £150) - please note hot tub stays are a minimum of 2 nights
* Fresh eggs from our chickens £2.50 (6 eggs) or 2 for £1, whenever available
* Firepit / BBQ hire, accessories, a sack of wood & kindling £22.50, why not add some sausages – The wood fired hot tub and firepit (as well as other items) are extra's and payable separately. There is a minimum of 2 nights for the hot tub option. We also have a minimum of 2 nights for weekend stays.
We are in a quiet residential location and therefore may not be suitable for larger groups.
There is one car parking space per Shepherds Hut on site.

We do have some extra’s on site (subject to availability), please do let us know if you would like us to prepare these ahead of your stay. Happy for you to let me know once the weather forecast is more reliable:

* Hot tub option for the duration of your stay at £50 per night (minimum of 2 nights). For example 3 night stay £150, 4 nights £200
*Firepit/BBQ hire for the duration of your stay - includes a sack of wood and accessories £22.50 (For safety we ask that there are no outside fires without the firepit please). Do let us know if you would like some marshmallows or some of our own sausages – we have a pack of 6 at £4, 2 burgers for £3 and unsmoked bacon for £4, for you to enjoy on the BBQ or take home
*Fresh eggs from our free range chickens £2.50 (6 eggs), or 2 for £1. Please do leave the egg box in the cabin so that we can fully recycle - we are only offering these on site through the autumn/winter months as ‘the girls’ slow down laying
*Additional bag of dry logs £8.50
* Home made jams, chutneys and marmalade £3.00 – we currently have Orange marmalade, Blackberry jam, Mixed Fruit jam
* Pure apple juice pressed from our own orchard £3.50 per litre or 3 for £10
* We offer electric car charging to our guests by invitation and charge a per kwh rate
* Well behaved dogs are welcome for an additional £5 per dog per night (1 medium/small dog is suitable for the hut)
* Additional adult hot tub robes are for hire at £5 each for the duration of your stay
* Additional sack of logs £8.50

* Home made jam, marmalade or chutney £3.00
* Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome for an additional £5 per night (1 small/medium dog is suitable for the hut)

Main House Rules:
- Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am.
- Smoking/Vaping is not allowed
- There are on-site parking facilities available at the property (one space per hut/cabin)
