While the hosts were extremely kind, responsive, and accommodating, the house was really not up to par for what was advertised. It was a gorgeous location, much closer to the beautiful beach than we anticipated (across the street, two houses down), and on a safe and secluded street with security.But the actual house needed a ton of work. We would run out of hot water because the boiler stopped working multiple times, much of the wood was warped or crumbling, rendering the use of the bedroom patio doors useless (the doors only opened about 5” so we couldn’t get to the pool from the bedroom, we had to walk all the way around). There were no rugs or plants in the bedrooms like the pictures advertised, very barren. When we first arrived there were no rugs in the bathrooms either, nor enough bath mats, hand towels, dish towels, or washcloths. There was only one thin “towel” (like a bath towel-sized tea towel), and one thin beach blanket per person. When I brought this up to the host she had 3 large bags of regular towels, beach towels, and dish towels delivered that night which was MUCH better!! The bar in the downstairs are couldn’t be used because the sink was out of commission. The pool area had a small section of sidewalk missing, which was dangerous for my toddler, but also it exposed standing sewage water, which made the backyard/pool area smell bad.While the hosts were wonderful, this house was a major disappointment, especially for the price we paid.
