"We had an issue on the first night with a noisy kitchen fan unit under our window. Not much sleep had! I went to see Reception first thing and the receptionist and Manager were terrific. They said that we could move , we just packed our things, went out and they moved our luggage to a new room. "

"Lovely welcome from Ella on arrival. We have a standard double room which was perfectly adequate for our stay. Very clean, quality bed linen/towels. Mattress firm but to our liking but firm pillows not my preference but slept fine. Room facing road so light sleeper might find it a bit noisy but did not bother us. Check inn was quick and easy and entrance to hotel is actually separate to the adjacent pub which was great as we wasn't disturbed by any noise from the revellers on a weekend! "I love these type of B&B’s. This B&B is steeped in history built in the 18th century, On the land owned by the Spencer family, Vincent Van Gogh also lived on the square, so this is not a modern hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, it has steep stairs and smallish rooms, but is full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious, the pub on the corner is very friendly and only a short walk to the beach."
