'We had to pay twice for our first 5 nights in Kenya. We had booked Coral Beach Resort well in advance. We had prepaid for the entire stay. Hotels.com had already deducted the amount from my account on May 23, 2025. When we arrived at the hotel we had no reservation and the hotel was full. The first two nights we had to stay at another hotel, but it was available so we could stay at Coral Beach as planned for the next three nights. 'The term Luxury cottage is an insult. The pictures are very misleading.This place is so run down. The staff you can tell is trying hard but obviously the owner cares nothing about customer service or being honest. Our "Luxury cottage" had no microwave, no satellite TV and the kitchen and living room were exposed to heat as there are no windows only loose screening that let lots of bugs in. The couch and beds sit on concrete reminiscent of city jail. I realize this property is in the tropics but...

'Hotels.com did not even have the rightful owners on the platform. Some other agency had put this property on the platform. I had to scramble and get a different booking because on arrival at the property I found out that the property was unsuitable for habitation and was going through a renovation!!'
