'Property location was perfect - beautiful beach and water view from room was lovely. Late check-in was problematic as instructions given were unclear. The door that was left open for us to access the room had a sign reading ‘please use other door’. The contact number to call was unresponsive. Had to try all doors on the property before returning to the initial door. Very confusing and frustrating.'

'This motel consists of small cottages. Most are overlooking the ocean across the street which is very relaxing and beautiful scenery. The cottages are well maintained and clean. They are fully self contained and high is nice as you can make your own meals. A Freshmart is conveniently located nearby. The owner was extremely accommodating….due to a bad storm that hit Cape Breton, we arrived a couple hours before check in time. No one was there but the owner was called in and she let us check...

'Thankful for the illuminated by the side of the road sign, or else it would've been very hard finding this place after dark in the mountainous roads on the Cabot trail. Cellular access is very poor in these areas, so make sure you get the instructions (lock box code) etc before you leave. I had to scramble to find the owner's phone and call him, thankfully he picked up and got me in ok. Room is very clean and brightly lit. Sofa bed served its role for my kid. Main bed in separate room was nice....

'Unique property, staff was friendly and accommodating and there was a nice breakfast provided in the morning. Kids liked staying here, as there were 3 beds in our room so they didn't have to share. Our only complaint would be the bugs and spiders in the room. It is a "cottage style" vibe, so if you are looking for fancy, it might not be your place.'

'Very clean room and friendly staff. Only complaint is that I could hear some animals crawl within the wall once every half an hour very clearly, to a point where I thought there’s a mouse or squirrel in the pod. It does make resting a lot harder.'

'The listing didn't do the property justice. What an amazing little place. My family loved everything about our stay. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable and the sunroom were great to relax in. The small path to the hidden deck was a great place to watch the sunset and have a morning coffee with some surprises if you pay attention. Would love to stay here again when traveling.'

'Cozy cabin, vey clean bathrooms and kitchen. Very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly owner.'

'Slaapgedeelte was prima, wel gehorig. Badkamer was niet schoon, hoeken ed waren vies en er was geen spiegel. Wel waren er nog restanten van lijm waar spiegel had gezeten had. Met inchecken moet je bellen. Het duurde een tijdje voordat eigenaar bereikbaar was. Als je dan zonder bereik bij een verlaten hotel staat, is dat niet zo fijn.'

'Everything was clean and easy access. The yurt was beautiful and very comfortable. And the individual hot tub was divine. Only “complaint”, not a lot of options for restaurants in the area open for dinner. The Bistro is closed though they offered us to eat the buffet they had for a function for 40/ person. Didn’t seem worth the money. But the accommodations and bathroom/shower were perfect! Just plan to eat before checking in. (Though the pizza place up the road was open, and very good)'

'The only complaint I have was that the washer wasn't functional which was something I was counting on for my long travel with my 4 kids. Other than than, the host was responsive and the place was very cute. We enjoyed our stay very much at this place.'

'Only had time to stay for one night, but it was a great stay. Exceptionally clean and well-appointed. A cozy spot that was perfect for our needs and a good place to rest while exploring the Cabot Trail.'
