Property was nice. Beautiful sunrises on the lake. Was able to pull our boat up to the dock. Fishing was decent on the lake. Only draw back was no AC. When we stayed the weather was only in the 70's, which was cooler than normal for July. Cabin had everything we needed. They were good about communicating with us. We enjoyed our stay. Made some good memories.
House was clean, well kept and well furnished. Loved the extra sleeping spots with futons and couch pullout and the spacious upstairs. Kitchen was well equipped. We were a little disappointed the water wasnât swimmable at the dock but it was still perfect for our boat and the property managers were VERY helpful in giving us some spots to swim. Neighborhood was quiet and a short drive to the boat ramp and a few local towns. Fishing was good and we liked all the lakes you could connect to on the chain. We would go back for sure!
Overall this was a really nice place to stay. There is a dock, which we were able to fish for panfish (and an 18" pike) from. There were so many birds! We saw everything from downy woodpeckers to blue herons and pelicans! (Verify with them before your stay if you want to use water toys.) Our dogs also had a blast!
The interior was really nice for the most part. There a LOT of stairs. There is no way out of them, so that should be a consideration for folks with limited mobility. The sun room was my favorite and had a great view of the lake, although we spent most of our time outside. There were a few small issues with the house, but nothing too serious. The light switches were hard to figure out and the ceiling fan in the main bedroom was falling out of the ceiling.
A couple of things that would have made it better would have been:
a comfier bedâit was very hard and springy.
The house is also divided up a little weird, so unless you're sitting at the kitchen table or breakfast room table, there's no place that really suits a family of 4.
Lounge or lawn chairs to bring down by the firepit, under the deck, or dock would have been great. There are benches and a picnic table.
A place to clean fish.
All in all, it was a lovely weekend! It was very clean, the kitchen was stocked with all the basic things you need to cook. We also used the gas grill and the furniture on the deck was a great place to eat and hang out.
We had a work girls weekend getaway and it was perfect for playing games, sitting by the fire, and enjoying the tranquil view. I would come back for sure!
It was good. It was exactly what we wanted, a cozy cabin, that allowed pets and had a fireplace. (Those weâre are exact 3 requirements) we wanted a getaway that we disconnected from the world a bit (especially work and social media). Where we could spend quality time as a family.
This was a great family getaway. House is very well appointed with anything you may have forgotten as well as thing you may not think of.
We unfortunately had one rain filled day but were able to do puzzles/games by the fire inside. We brought our boat and though it was very hard to find on GPS on the water side but once we understood it was on the opposite side of the peninsula we liked the little tucked away location and my boys spent a lot of time fishing right off the dock (caught/released a few).
Though the cabin is small and only one bathroom it felt big with several private spaces. We will dinfately book here again!
January trip to visit the in laws with hopes of ice fishing but due to the weather, we decided to stay in and play games.
Loved sitting with coffee in the mornings warm by the fireplace and looking out at the lake and nature!!
Very clean and loved the 3 season porch as a bonus space.
Really nice deck that we'll be back to sit on this spring/summer with morning coffee!!
