PLEASE NOTE: Tiki bar is closed for the Winter. It’s set to reopen February 2026. Our cottage includes a screened in porch area, perfect for a relaxing, “Hang Loose” vacation.

The Purple Parrot is a 114 unit Caribbean-style resort with tropical plants & palm trees. Our huge 150,000 gallon outdoor pool is only footsteps from our cottage/villa. Enjoy the plentiful selection of local restaurants for your dining & entertainment.


Johnson Beach State Park is a short (3) minute drive from the resort. Breathtaking sunrises & sunsets, white sand beaches, showers, picnic tables, walking trails & covered pavilions.


Our unit offers one 43" Flat screen TV in the bedroom. One 50” Flat screen TV in the living room. Brand new 6/2022 Beyond Beauty King size mattress in the bedroom. Queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. Front loading washer/dryer. Free wifi, extended cable, & our kitchen is fully stocked with dishes & cookware.


PLEASE NOTE: Bring your groceries, toiletries & paper products. Publix Grocery store is located (5) minutes from the resort.


Our unit is lower level & parking is directly in front of our cottage/villa.


The Purple Parrot in Perdido Key is a unique gated tropical resort. The villas surround a 5000 square foot oasis swimming pool with a waterfall and a bridge accessible hot tub. The resort also features an indoor heated pool and hot tub in the indoor pool house. Changing rooms, showers, sauna & work out area.


Purple Parrot has a strict NO pet policy for renters.
NO smoking in any of the condos.
NO renters under the age of 25.



Restaurants, grocery stores, marinas, golf courses are within a mile of the resort. So much to do and see on the key!


Come on down & “Hang Loose”at our cottage/villa located in The Purple Parrot Resort! Guests enjoy relaxing by the pool. Always a fun time for the kids!

I want to clear up some of my answers--I gave 5 stars for communication only for the owners of our unit--never had any contact with the management company (they were no part of the check-in or out process. We did meet a care-taker who was very nice (he was checking out some things for the owners of the condo). Our unit was well stocked, well decorated, & mainly clean, but the floors could use a damp mopping between renters--I guess the cleaners assumed the sand would blend in with the flooring. The resort lived up to all our expectations--except for the Tiki bar & grill. It was absolutely horrible--the bartender didn't know how to make most drinks (like a Daiquiri) & the cook was equally inept. No napkins or silverware (even plastic); all sandwiches on hamburger buns (including Philly Cheesesteak); no fish or green peppers; my fried chicken sandwich (to replace the fish sandwich) was broiled. The cook's solution was to dip the broiled chicken in the batter & refry. Needless to say we didn't go back there.

I can't say enough good things about this condo. I love that it is in a gated community. The cottage itself was immaculate upon arrival. Beautifully decorated and all the amenities we needed. The walk to the pool area is short; and the pool is fantastic! The Tiki bar had live entertainment Friday night, Saturday and Sunday night--that was a nice treat. We had an issue with the internet and Steve and Sherry were more than helpful; we didn't get the problem solved but didn't care because we were having an "unplugged" weekend. Johnson Beach is a nice area and just right around the corner from the resort. This place was a perfect long weekend getaway for my husband and I. We will be back!

This was my husband and I first time staying/going to Perdido Key. This condo was great! Just right for me and him! Very clean, nice, updated, and one small thing I appreciated was the TV was user friendly with a satellite guide! also the host was very quick to respond and had easy to understand directions for getting into unit. It is located less than a mile from the beach. We definitely would stay here again!

Beautiful and well decorated condo, it was extremely clean and smells great! Everything was well appointed and very comfortable. Equipped with everything we could possibly use and then some! Pool was beautiful and was close to the condo. The Tiki Bar was incredible and offered wonderful drinks and amazing entertainment! Being so close to gorgeous beaches. shops, grocery stores and delicious restaurants was very convenient. The communication with Sherri was immediate and was eager to help with anything. My husband and I enjoyed every minute. Can’t wait to return.

Such a lovely place to stay. A home away from home. Some of the places at Purple Parrot don’t have a screened in porch. We enjoyed being able to sit outside in the afternoon with a beverage because the porch is shaded that time of day. Also enjoy the landscaping to add to the Florida feel.
