Overall it was good. Great views! The dryer did not work as it would not heat to dry clothes. There are entirely too many codes for the place which everyone was complaining about the whole time, as it was too many to remember. Other than that it was good.
We enjoyed our stay but the condo had several issues which made us feel overcharged. While listed as a renovated or updated penthouse, there is nothing updated or luxury about this unit. There was mold growing in bathroom on ceiling and tiles, the electrical outlets did not work, the sheets were very cheap, blankets were not washed (they should be washed or rotated), appliances were old, the freezer continuously came off track and required 5 minutes to fix so it would close, the thermostat wouldnât go below 67 and felt like 70, bedroom ceiling fan made an awful noise and couldnât be used, the mattress in main bedroom was inverted so you rolled to the middle when laying down, and everything appeared somewhat wiped down but not clean. The promised beach chair service was not noted with the beach chair company but they honored it anyway and one elevator was down several days which caused very excessive wait times. I donât usually leave reviews like this but while the costs of these types of rentals are rising the quality of the stay is plummeting and it is no longer worth it.
We enjoyed our stay in this condo. The views are amazing, being on the top floor was great, the layout was good for our family, and the property management group was very responsive. There were a few frustrating events, though⊠one elevator was broken for a couple of days. The HOA worked on it but it took time to fix (one functioning elevator for that building is NOT enough during spring break), an alarm was continuously sounding in the lobby for the duration of our stay, and at one point we lost water for a time. While we liked the actual unit, there were some issues with the electrical outlets. The one for the microwave never worked. Two in the living room worked intermittently (you had to unplug the lamp and plug the recliner chair in to recline and then put lamp plug back into socket for light) and two in the master worked intermittently also. We found this to be very odd because usually half of an outlet would work but not the other half. We could never explain it but we hope it will be thoroughly checked out. Also, we suggest a more comfortable chair be added to the deck other than just the picnic table and chairs. Itâs so beautiful out there. Finally, beach chair rental prices seemed to vary daily. Adding 2 chairs for the condo renters might be a nice touch for the price of this unit so renters donât have to deal with that.
We have stayed in several different condos at this Resort but really loved this one! The view is spectacular, and all of the upgrades in the condo are awesome! We had a fantastic time!
The overall condo was nice but the rug in the living area is very dirty and if you walked around in your bare feet they were filthy. Also the kitchen table underneath was very dusty. The bathroom curtain rods were rusty and hard to get the curtain closed! Otherwise I enjoyed the condo.
On the day we got to Panama City we were told we would get a message when our room would be ready. ok good most check ins are 3 sometimes earlier. The Blue Angels were in an Air Show so the area was heavily packed. The show started at 2 so i was hopeing the room would be ready soon enough to watch the air show.. No text saying it was ready. I did notice the crew that was suppose to be cleaning our room looked like they had family and all wathed the show from our deck. As soon as the show was over bbawe xt saying the room was ready. Imaging that. We get in our room and i was looking to plug a phone charger in over near a lamp bedise the sliding doors to balcomy. I noticed the floor around the recliner and in the back corner looked like it hadnt been swept in weeks. Some one needs a new cleaning crew. The ceiling fan in the main bedtoom squaks so much theres no way you could have it on and sleep. @nd day we were there the gate code and entrance code had been changed and we had to wait for someone to come in and follow them and wait for someone to open door. It was after hours so i had no one to reach out to for the new code.. Best one. Main TV in living room has no waty yo watch cable we could figure out.It had apps but we saw no way to get cable channels. Bed room TVs have cable we found that out when i checked the front bedroom tv because we had no way to watch the homerun derby or all star game. Just some aggravating things that need to be worked on for future guess.
Upon arrival we could not get in the gate. The code given did not work. Next, we get in the elevator and didn't know how to put the code in to get to the room. Then finally getting in we walk in to dirty dishes in the sink and in the cabinets and floors full of sand. Yes, its the beach but it was excessive. The beds were not very comfortable and the bunk bed was so rickety that the adult that was going to sleep on it opted to sleep on the pull out couch. The best part though was the water would just randomly shut off to the whole condo. So we would have no water for several minutes at a time. When it would come back on the pressure was awful. We left the next day and we are suppose to be given a refund for the Remainder of the stay. Its something but we didn't feel we should have paid anything considering this cost us a half a day of our short beach getaway. And we had to find a new place to stay they couldn't help us with that.
