'A hotel at a great location on the golf court, with a fantastic restaurant. Unfortunately the state of the building is not as nice as the picture shows, and the windows are desperately requiring maintenance. Service was OK, but I was given 2 single beds instead of a double bed, and they neglected to inform me that Wifi was free of charge. A lot of apologies, but not really what I expected for the price paid. Still an interesting experience and the restaurant made up for it.'

'Hotel and rooms need a lot of TLC, water takes a while to heat up and when it does the pressure in the shower is awful. Pool wasnt bad but there were no spa appointments avaliable depsite having a membership. And the junior suite dosent look like the photos. Ended up makkng a complaint andnit was rectified but still not happy with my stay. Wasnt worth the money I paid. '

'The room was good and the food was good. The staff were really good especially the restaurant staff. In fact, since the manager Gary has 'not' been here it's been a huge improvement.'

'Plenty of parking, the room was clean and the welcome friendly.The downside was the restaurant was closed when arrived so the alternative was to go out again. We didn't bother, it might have been better to have had some notice of this and we could made other arrangements it didn't spoil matters.'

'Room was okay but small. The mattress was amazingly comfortable albeit the wooden bed frame was a little creaky. The walls are paper thin and the doors closing and opening extremely noisy so not as restful a break as the location demands'

'Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and there were a lot of amenities like a hairdryer, coffee, tea, and towels. The linen were also...

'Excellent location, 5 mins from Theatre and Riverside with bus stop across the road. Had an evening meal which was lovely and the staff and service couldn't find fault with at all. I had a small single so well priced for a Fri night. Would definitely return'
