« The place was a bit dated. The rooms were plenty large but the chairs were not comfortable. We end bringing a patio chair inside. »

« Totally enjoyed this hotel. Very convenient and clean and secure. Got a room right next to end doors so very easy going and coming. Only issue was the people above us for the first couple nights. A child kept running and jumping around and heavy walking but stopped around midnight so could have been worse. »

« It’s obvious the lack of competition for hotel chains is one of the reasons why this (and other properties) aren’t upgrading or even moderately maintaining their properties. While the staff were very nice, the hotel and rooms felt old, dated, threadbare and in need of renovation. Brown County is stunning … but its hotels leave a lot to be desired. »

« The room was clean and maintained. The owners left a number to call for checking in, while I stood outside in the sun. The property looked rough, it had poison ivy growing out onto the parking lot. »

« We pulled in, turned around and left. Place looked rundown and deserted. No cars in the lot...none....in a tourist hotspot .Thats a bad sign. Got a room at another place. Did not mention the name to the other establishment..just told them we had a reservation at another place and what our impression was upon seeing it. They said..and I quote" yeah, Salt Creek is empty for a reason". Expedia...you need to disassociate yourselves from Salt Creek Inn. »

« This was our first time staying here and it was great overall. The room was clean. Breakfast was good. The kids enjoyed the pool. We did have to wait for towels for about an hour because they ran out of them, but that was really the only problem »

« This was a very nice room, and we would stay again. The bed was comfortable, and there was room to relax. The only complaint was that there were people, probably children, running around above us until late into the night. If we stayed again, I would request a room on the third (top) floor. »

« The room was clean. Our room had the built in bunkbeds and that gave us decent privacy from our kids. But the bed rail for the top was so close to the ceiling it was a struggle to get in and out. Parking was great. Staff was wonderful. Not much else to the room. One very small tv and since the town closes down by 5:00-7:00 a tv would be nice since it was obviously a room for kids too. »

« We checked in the 1st room floors were filthy. We back to the bedroom pulled back the sheets to see if the bedding was clean. There was cookie crumbs and lots of pubic hair on the sheets. Management gave us another room and it was filthy also. Shower had hair in the drain no clean towels. The pool liner was bubbling up all over the pool. They had water under the liner. We went to this hotel last year and it was spotless! »

« Loved the two days we spent here. Very good home-cooked breakfast, nice rustic cozy room with fireplace, two person jacuzzi. Just a very nice overall experience. The host is very friendly and informative. »

« Beautiful furniture, nice overall place, great walking distance to most things in a cute town! Only issue is it advertises two bathrooms and there are NOT two. We brought this up to management. They said they would correct this listing, but it has not been corrected. »
