« Great place to stay, parked motorbike at the front to the right, all good. Nice ales and food was very good. Breakfast was made by a dedicated chef who has worked there for 15 years. Cannot find fault. Only minor thing was the bathroom was smelly in the Horse room, maybe a sewerage leak or something, but looks spotless. »

« Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and there were a lot of amenities like a hairdryer, coffee, tea, and towels. The linen were also...
« Hotel short walk from station run by young couple keen to make a difference. Oozes character, surrounded by historic architecture and fits right in. Cafes, restaurants, pubs close at hand with lots of shopping close to hand. I nipped down a nearby alley each morning to enjoy a great riverside walk to the park and home for breakfast. »
« This hotel is very much due a complete overhaul to bring it into the 21st century. It is generally dark without double glazing in the bedrooms which do not have good views. Have not eaten there so cannot comment on quality of the catering. »
« Absolutely no heating, complained two times, said they reset the boiler but still nothing, had to ask a portable heating device, not acceptable for the prixe of the night.

« Visiting in my own I stayed 3 nights at Prince Rupert. Fantastic location right in the centre.
I had a lovely friendly welcome, the staff at the desk were very helpful. The room is nice, small but very clean tea/coffee making facilities, very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Good breakfasts. I had a couple of dinners at the restaurant - very friendly, good food. My only complaint is the horrible Richard Claydermanish music in the restaurant!
