'The Oliver Hotel is a short-term vacation rental being represented as a hotel. There is no staff and telephone support is not able to resolve basic problems. I contacted customer service to request a code for my room as the link I received provided a code only for the main door, but the customer service rep told me I would just have to wait for another link. There is no staff onsite to assist customers. Expedia customer service would have to contact the property manager. At that point, I...

'Our room at The Intrepid was great. It is in an excellent location in downtown Duluth. We could walk to restaurants, shopping and nightlife. The staff were quick to reply to any questions I had. Check in and out were very easy. Our room was spacious and clean. Despite being downtown, it was very quiet.'

'Zenith Basecamp is a unique accommodation and a model that I hope catches on. On site, they refer to it as a glamping hostel. The space is impeccable, set up in a newly renovated historic office building. There’s no frills (bring your own shampoo, soap, and towel), but what’s there is great. You get your own room, with shared individual bathrooms and a kitchenette available for guest use. We also enjoyed the cocktail bar on site!'

'Slow check-in. Had to wait half an hour to have a room prepared. Breakfast did not have a waffle maker. I thought the website said it would. Trash can was full when we arrived at our room. All of the staff were polite and helpful despite the busier than normal traffic on a Sunday.'

'We stayed in King Suite. Room was clean. Bathroom was clean. Provided microwave and channel guide when requested. Provided extra towels. You have to notify one day in advance for room cleaning. Free parking. They let us parked in the lot even after we checked out for additional hours.'
