Positief: Netheid, voorzieningen en staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
This is really one of the most beautiful properties you are likely to come across and it’s well maintained. It’s very quiet and peaceful around Oyster Pond and (as others have noted), there’s a wonderful small grocery store/patisserie/coffee spot about 1.5 km away (surprisingly, they were open Xmas/New Years Days). For less expensive groceries/drinking water, we tended to go to the larger stores in Philipsburg and Marigot. We travel with our disabled 21 year old son, so we typically cook for ourselves each night, bringing some more expensive items from home and buying anything else from the grocery stores. The kitchen here is incredibly well equipped and made food prep very easy. Laundry facilities are also great. The beds and living area are comfortable, the AC works well (we used it only at night), and the house is an easy drive to several great beaches. Things are quite busy and crowded during the Xmas/New Years holidays, but this wasn’t surprising for this time of year. The pool and large deck area were a wonderful bonus for us and we made good use of them each day in the morning and afternoon after returning from the beach. It was lovely to be able to eat meals out there; the view is spectacular and the breeze coming off the water is so pleasant. Finally, Melanie and Patrick are wonderful, responsive hosts. We didn’t have very many questions but received answers/help immediately upon asking. We highly recommend this property and would happily return if we were to return.
