Visit medieval Shrewsbury (16 miles), Welshpool (12 miles) with its steam trains, Ellesmere (12 miles) and its water front or take a horse-drawn canal ride in Llangollen (17 miles). Explore Llanrhaeadr Waterfall (Pistyll Rhaeadr), visit Owain Glyndwr’s Mount or go for a walk up Admiral Rodney’s Pillar, all within 12 miles. Head into Wales and visit the stunning Lake Vyrnwy and Bala Lake.
