The home opens onto leafy front gardens and a sunny verandah — a calm spot to settle in with morning coffee or an afternoon glass of local wine. Six bedrooms give every guest space of their own, while the dining room and open living areas draw the group back together. The kitchen is fully set up for cooking at home, and the verandah lends itself to a cheese platter at the end of the day.

The Byng House sits on one of the best blocks in Orange, surrounded by heritage homes and within easy walking distance of the CBD. Byng Street Local Store is metres from the front door, with the Gladstone Hotel, Ferment wine bar and St Joseph's Church all on the same block. The Schoolhouse Restaurant at the Union Bank, Birdie Noshery, Charred Kitchen & Bar, Cook Park and Robertson Park are all a short walk away. Vineyards, cellar doors and bushwalks at Lake Canobolas sit roughly 10 minutes by car.
