Our dog-friendly family home is detached and located almost directly by the Rothaarsteig hiking trail and the forest. “Haus Steinblick” enjoys a very sunny hillside location in the village of Elleringhausen, part of the spa town Olsberg. Our target guests are families and groups with dogs, as hiking with four-legged companions here is simply wonderful.
Haus Steinblick offers what we believe is the most beautiful view in the Sauerland region: a direct view of the Bruchhauser Steine. Since 2018, this area has been part of Germany’s second national park and the only national park in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The house features a large integrated garage underneath the property with an entrance height of 2 meters.
On the ground floor, there is a large living room, a dining room with a round seating area, a kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with shower and toilet. There is also a staircase leading to the lower floor (hall with sauna, basement bathroom, and garage) and a hallway with a dog crate, access to the entrance/front door, and the staircase to the upper floor.
Upstairs there are three additional large bedrooms, a spacious landing with seating/sleeping facilities, and a bathroom with bathtub and toilet. The total living area exceeds 240 m², with more than 600 m² of garden space.
The lower floor contains the garage, a hallway with a two-person infrared sauna, a storage room, a bathroom with shower, toilet, washing machine, and dryers, as well as a hallway providing access to the oil heating installation.
There are four bedrooms with double box-spring beds (180x200 cm) and one bedroom with two single box-spring beds. Two bedrooms also contain an additional single bed (90x200 cm). On the upstairs landing, behind a curtain, there is another double box-spring bed.
On the upper floor, one large room also contains a small kitchenette with two electric hotplates, a refrigerator, a small oven, a kettle, a Senseo coffee machine, and a dining area for four people.
Two baby travel cots and two high chairs are also available. Please note that our house is not specifically equipped for very small children in terms of safety features; for example, there are no stair gates or childproof door locks.
From the dining room, you can step onto the wide balcony with panoramic views. Adjacent to the living room is the terrace, which flows into the garden extending behind the house. The terrace includes a large lounge corner sofa, a two-seater lounge sofa, an armchair, and two dining tables with chairs. There are also two BBQs and two sun loungers.
The garden slopes slightly upward, so there is always a sunny spot somewhere. In the rear garden there is also a sandbox, a small slide, a play structure, a rocking horse, and a playhouse for small children.
For dogs that tend to wander off, we have fenced the garden.
Please keep in mind that because we own dogs ourselves and also allow dogs, our home will never be completely “hair-free.”
Smokers are absolutely not welcome, and smoking anywhere on our property is not permitted. This also applies to vaping/e-cigarettes.
For bookings with fewer than 8 guests, we reserve the right to lock certain bedrooms. For bookings of 4 guests, only the ground floor will be rented out.
Wi-Fi is available via satellite internet.
