One important detail to know before booking is the bathroom setup is also quintessentially Fire Island: one full bath and one half bath inside the main house, an additional half bath, plus two private outdoor showers.

It’s an unconventional setup, but one that makes much more sense once you’re here—and gives a full house several different places to get ready at once.

The deck is where Golden Hour really comes into its own. There’s a large outdoor dining table for dinners that stretch into the evening, separate wicker sofas with deep cushions for hanging out, Adirondack chairs tucked into their own little corner, a grill, and plenty of open deck space.

It feels less like a patio and more like another living area of the house.
