House with separate annex, perfect for family groups

Our house is located in the village of Usseira, 5 minutes drive from the medieval town of Obidos. The main house has plenty of living space and 3 bedrooms. There is also a separate annex with living area and kitchen, 3 bedrooms and a loft space with extra beds. The house is perfect for a large family or 2/3 families to share. Prices are based on 14 people. Please contact to discuss any additional guests.

The outside space is fabulous with a 16 metre private salt water swimming pool, a tennis court and loads of land with beautiful views on every side. There is a pool table in the main house, table tennis in the basement and also a fully equipped gym. There is also WiFi in both the main house and the annex. Both houses are fully equipped with all kitchen equipment. The dining table in the main house seats 12 and in the annex seats 6. The outside table seats 12 and there is a further table outside next to the pool with 8 chairs, we also have 12 sun beds. With kids in mind we have lots of toys and DVDs, 2 cots, a high chair and booster seat and stair gates to stop access to the roof terrace. PLEASE NOTE THE POOL IS NOT FENCED SO UNSUITABLE FOR NON SWMMERS.

There are at least 3 good restaurants within a 20 minute walk as well as all the restaurants and sights that Obidos has to offer. The house is an easy 50 minutes drive from Lisbon airport and there are also regular buses from Lisbon to Obidos. The nearest beaches of Foz Arehlo, Bom Sucesso, Sao Martinho do Porto and Peniche are all between 15-30 minutes drive.

Other activities locally include the vineyard and beatiful gardens of Buddha Eden and waterparks in Peniche, Santarem and Nazare. Further afield, Lisbon, Fatima and Sintra are all perfect for day trips.

We had a lovely stay with friends and children. The communication prior to arrival went smooth and the arrival was very friendly. The house and facilities were amazing. The honesty box for the consumption of stuff that is present already represents the vibe. With Obidos and the sea around the corner and Lisbon within an hour, this was perfect for our holiday

Fantastic holiday in Casa Shally

We have been spending our summer holidays together for almost 15 years in different beautiful villas, but Casa Shally surpasses everything. The villa is very well equiped and there is realky nothing more we could wish for (except maybe an espresso machine😊) All of us, but especially the teenagers, have user the facilities every dat; the pool table was the most popular place in the house. Never a dull moment

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful well equiped villa! The main house is very spacious. Our favourite feature there was the pool table! The annex sleeps many people as well. We used the main house for 'the parents' and the annex for 'the children'. There never has to be a dull moment with the large pool, tennis court, tennis table and gym . A trip to Lisboa, the beach, golf court: it's all there. Thank you, Shally familiy, we had a great time.

Property is huge and well equipped. Very clean and loads of space to spread out (we were a group of 12). The only thing missing is a fan in each room. The rooms were too hot to sleep in without fans which we went out and purchased ourselves. Ceiling fans would have been more preferable of course. Also, the cleaners turned up an hour earlier than we expected as it stated 11am check-out. But the general condition of the property is very good. Pool was very clean and maintained throughout our stay. Shops are about 7-10 minutes away by car with no local amenities in walking distance. Could do with more fridge space given the number of people it can accommodate. Kitchen has every appliance and utensil you could need which is a massive plus.

La maison est top, suffisamment de place pour tout le monde dans la maison et l’annexe. La piscine est grande et superbe pour profiter au mieux tous ensemble. Le terrain de tennis sert aussi pour le basket etc… tout le monde peut faire les activités qui lui plaisent. L’emplacement : proche de Óbidos, et des autres monuments autour, Lisbonne à 1h de route. Rien à redire, si ce n’est que nous reviendrons certainement.

Nice Villa

The villa was perfect for what we needed. There was a few things that let the villa down. 1. Oven doesn't work as it trips the power. 2. Toaster also broken and could only toast two slices at a time. 3. Ensuite shower kept flooding floor. 4. Ensuite 2 shower had no way to be kept on wall, had to hold shower head. 5. Garage door temperamental. It would be very minimal cost to fix these issues. The smell of sewage in ensuite 2 came from a blocked cistern, which one of our group fixed as he is a plumber. Excellent villa, just needs a little care to be amazing.

Absolutely ideal!

This was the prefect property for our family of 7 adults, 1 teenager, 3 children (2x 11 year olds and a 4 year old) and toddler of 18 months to celebrate ‘Grandad’s 70th birthday’. Debra was even kind enough to provide a wonderful birthday cake, which was really thoughtful! We corresponded a few times and she was swift to reply and very helpful. The villa is in a beautiful location, in the countryside, but nearby to shops and attractions. Óbidos is a great place to visit along with beaches and a dinosaur park nearby. Would definitely recommend!

What a Villa!

This is a villa like no other; a huge and well equipped home from home. It is situated in a quiet rural area, a short drive from 2 supermarkets and the historic tourist walled town of Óbidos. The sea is a 20 minute drive away and provides lots of surfing activity and calmer waters in the shape of a coastal lagoon. The villa itself has everything a family will need for an active or relaxing holiday. Facilities are modern, clean and plentiful. Thanks very much to the owners for the best ever villa holiday we have had. I think most of what the villa provides can be gleaned from the website. My review is just a personal response from a hirer.

The perfect getaway house for a group of family/friends!

The house and location were lovely! The house had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The pool was very good and everything was provided for us. Would definitely come back for a second time. Debra the owner, always replied quickly to messages sent and responded to any questions we had. It's the perfect house if you want a getaway from the city with friends or family. Obidos is a 15 min drive from the house and everything else was also very close.
