Aurdalsåsen, beautifully located in Valdres, is the perfect destination for those who want to enjoy fresh mountain air, stunning scenery, and peaceful surroundings. The area offers a wide range of activities throughout the year, whether you prefer active adventures or relaxing days in nature.

Year-round activities:
✹ Hiking and cycling – A varied network of marked trails and mountain roads offers great opportunities for both short and long trips on foot or by bike.
✹ Cross-country skiing – Well-groomed ski trails right by the cabin take you deep into the mountains, with routes all the way to Beitostølen.
✹ Downhill skiing – Valdres Alpine Center is nearby, with ski-in access. The slopes suit both beginners and experienced skiers.
✹ Fishing – Several nearby mountain lakes offer great fishing, whether you prefer a quiet summer evening by the water or exciting autumn fishing.
✹ Golf – One of Norway’s most scenic golf courses is just 8 km away, beautifully located by the lake and known for its spectacular mountain surroundings.

In winter, enjoy a delicious lunch and something refreshing at Koja Panorama, located at the top station at 1060 m.a.s.l. Here you’ll have a stunning mountain view – the perfect spot for a break between ski runs.

Experience spectacular nature! The cabin is also a perfect base for exploring Valdresflye, a scenic mountain road just one hour away. You’ll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding peaks as you drive through majestic landscapes at over 1,300 meters altitude. The area offers wonderful hiking opportunities – from short walks to full-day mountain hikes.

Right by Valdresflye lies Jotunheimen National Park, Norway’s high mountain paradise. This area is famous for its majestic peaks, crystal-clear lakes, and breathtaking landscapes. Here you’ll find some of Norway’s most iconic mountains, such as Besseggen, Galdhøpiggen (the highest mountain in Northern Europe), and Glittertind. Jotunheimen is ideal for hiking, cycling, cross-country skiing in winter, and year-round nature experiences.

For daily needs, the nearest grocery store (Kiwi) is about a 15-minute drive down the valley. For a wider selection of shops, head to Leira or the nearby town of Fagernes, which offers a shopping center, liquor store, cafés, and restaurants.
