We had a wonderful family holiday here, for two weeks, and Liliane and Jean Marie were very welcoming and attentive hosts.
The weather was glorious throughout, and we more or less lived in the swimming pool. The pool went from a shallower end
to about 7 feet deep, and a variety of inflatable rings, etc was available.
The listing was accurate about the facilities etc available - there are three double bedrooms, and extra beds were provided for the two
children. Sheets and towels are changed at the end of each week. There is a barbecue in the garden.
The villa is located about 15km outside Nice, up in the hills, and the approach roads are uphill and twisty, with some hairpin bends.
The approach to Chemin du Golfan is very narrow.
There are no shops in walking distance, so you should stock up at the St Isidore LeClerc (on the road out of Nice) before you arrive. The nearest village is Colomars, about 10 minutes away by car, and this has a pharmacie, boulangerie, delicatessen and bar, as well as a very good restaurant, 'L'Escapade'. We also had an excellent meal at the hotel there.
We made brief trips to Cannes, Eze and Monte Carlo, as well as into Nice itself, and to a nearby winery, Chateau Bellet, but we really never wantedto leave the villa at all!
The property is well-maintained, and kept very clean, including the pool. We would unreservedly recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet holiday, with the option of day-trips. The hosts keep a close eye on things, and Jean Marie cooked us a special pizza one night before we left.
