Beautiful Property, well maintained, near mansions & beach, private kitchen

Our GARDEN room, with off street parking, is cozy and private, and is in the middle of all the famous attractions that draw people to Newport. You are within walking distance to the beautifully landscaped MANSIONS along BELLEVUE AVENUE. The unmatched beauty of our CLIFF WALK (just 7 minute walk from the house) and our 10 MILE OCEAN DRIVE is breath-taking! Just down the street is a small private beach (also 7 minutes from the house) available to walkers, swimmers and sun bathers. We have always loved Newport and have found it amazingly beautiful, relaxing and exciting. Newport was listed on ABC GOOD MORNING AMERICA as one of the 10 MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES IN AMERICA. You will enjoy watching their news video. The URL for Good Morning America's Video can be found in a Google search using key words "GMA's 10 Most Beautiful Places in America". With a personal kitchen for your use, our GARDEN Room allows you the choice of cooking your own meals or dining out in one of our many wonderful area restaurants. The Garden Room consists of ONE LARGE ROOM with a queen bed, a sitting area, a full bath and a private kitchen. We also have a TV with Dish satellite and digital channels, a DVD player, and a small library. You can hear the ocean waves at night and have views of ALMY POND. This room is rented from March through November.

The BEACH, the CLIFF WALK, the MANSIONS and SALVE REGINA UNIVERSITY CAMPUS are all within two blocks of us. DOWNTOWN NEWPORT is 3/4 mile to the north.
Conveniently located for you to enjoy the summer's annual NEWPORT MUSIC FESTIVAL, NEWPORT JAZZ AND FOLK FESTIVALS. Stay with us, ride bikes and avoid the traffic. Come and surf, swim, fish, bike, paddle board, sail or just relax. Just spending the day sitting on the rocks by the water on the Cliff Walk or Ocean Drive can be a delightfully, relaxing experience.

Enjoy our yard, and sleep peacefully in our quiet location when you return from your escapades each evening.

Very clean property in a very quiet neighborhood. Easy access to the beach, ocean drive and the cliff walk. We had a wonderful time. The outside picture shows the main house not the apartment behind where we stayed. I wasn’t expecting to have to walk up steps to get to the room; kitchen on the ground floor, not that it was a problem for us, somehow I missed that. No dishwasher which we did miss since we did cook some. Not a huge deal. My wife was pleasantly surprised that all the products in the house from the shampoo to the olive oil spray, and hand soap were products she would buy. All in all an enjoyable experience

The apartment has off street parking. Short walk to beach and Cliff walks. Apartment is very comfortable and I napped several times. Beautiful flowers outside and I saw Hummingbirds. The shower was hot. You can tell Lou cares. I will be back for a longer stay next time.

Perfectly located, we didn’t have to drive once during our 6-day stay. Beach is walking distance, RIPTA bus took us to attractions in town, and we bicycled everywhere else (including the festival grounds)! The cottage was big enough for the two of us, kitchen well equipped and plenty of outdoor space for grilling and dining. We highly recommend it!

Lovely stay in a perfect location

Lou is a fantastic host. He’s kind, communicative and accommodating. I was traveling for work, photographing a wedding in Newport. The cottage was not overly fussy but was perfectly stocked with thoughtful touches and the bed was SO comfy. I loved the location for the ease with which I could get to town, but the removed quiet as well. I loved walking to the closest beach and Cliff Walk to take advantage of a perfect blue sky in the morning. Lou was available and present but also respectful of my privacy and peace. I couldn’t be more pleased with my time at Lou’s and will stay there again when I book my next Newport wedding.
