'My family and I booked as we were going to the field of dreams site. We wanted a hotel that was close. The check-in process was easy. The outside looks like you would imagine a hotel in a small town would. Upon arriving in her room. The smell of mildew and mold was overwhelming. The air was off and when I turned the air on it got worse. I have a daughter that is a heart transplant. She instantly started coughing. My husband came into the room with his first load of items from the car. He told me...

'This hotel is old and much in need of updating. Air conditioning was loud and didn't really keep the room that comfortable. Had to get staff to turn on power. The room pictures on Expedia are not at all what the room actually looks like. The room was clean enough and had good location. Not a good value for the money.'

'Very nice place to stay'

'I booked 2 rooms thru Expedia (due to an 8+ review rating you provided) October 23 & 24 at Dubuque Inn & Suites. Our experience was a rating of 2. Here is why: Room: It was very hard to see as the lighting was terrible! The room was so small we could hardly navigate around the bed. There was no place to put our suitcases (not even a suitcase rack to set them on). It was very old with missing paint on walls, etc. and air didn't work well. The room was not freshened up after the first...

'Clean and tastefully decorated. Beautiful view with comfortable gliders to sit outside. Comfortable bed. Nice Fall decorating touches in the room. Minor suggestions: Hooks or someplace to hang jackets. Also, Shower gel and hand soap were both almost empty making it difficult to get some out of the containers. Excellent stay.'

'This is the first Holiday Inn Express I’ve stayed at that I felt I went back in time to 30 years ago. This is so outdated I’m shocked that IHG puts their name on this property. Needed remodeled 20 years ago. The coffee looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Was so dirty I left without showering. I’ve been an IHG member for almost ten years and this is the first time I’ve ever seen this. So disappointed that I paid for this online otherwise I would have left.'

'Room was great, staff friendly and helpful. This is where I stay every time I go to Dubuque.'

'Mooi gerenoveerde kamers, jammer genoeg worden ze niet goed proper gemaakt. Gans de badkamer rook muf omdat die gepoetst werd met een muffe doek.Overal nog haren in de badkamer. Jammer, want moest de badkamer wel fris en proper zijn geweest, was dit een perfect verblijf.'

'Had the hotel for 2 nights but since I took my luggage with me after the first night the staff checked me out of my room even though I never formally checked out or notified the front desk that I was leaving. Later on that evening when I returned, a couple was assigned my room and came in while I was in there. Afterwards, when night management clocked in, again my room was assigned to another couple, that came in again while I was in my room. Not the best hotel experience I've had.'

'Room needs updating Carpet was old & worn, curtains old & torn. Furniture was old & worn. One lamp didn't work. Bed was clean & comfortable. Front desk staff was nice. Caroline's restaurant was good & staff was nice.'

'Overall, we had a great stay. Beautiful home with wonderful views. The breakfast was okay.'

'Het was een fijn hotel, gewoon goed niet zwak niet over de top! Parkeerplaats erbij dus dat was fijn, eettentjes op loop afstand! Heeeeeel aardig personeel en bed lag lekker '
