Ten bedrooms, multiple King Master Suites, an elevator and other awesome amenities will keep your family happy on or off the beach. The private pool and kiddie pool will provide hours of entertainment for the entire family. Beautiful pool deck with poolside hot tub under a custom-built gazebo is right off the dune steps.

This home is handicap accessible, and features a ramp for easy access to the outdoor amenities! Please note all entryway doors, including the elevator are 34 inches wide.

Spectacular views of the ocean await you from both levels. The rec room has a kitchenette with full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and bar seating. All ages will enjoy a friendly game of pool on the full-size pool table, or just lay back and watch the game on the TV. Twisted Fish is located in quiet South Nags Head, an area that has kept its charm, yet it's just minutes away from any activity that you could imagine. Close to Oregon Inlet Fishing Marina and Pirates Cove Marina for world class deep sea fishing! Watersports, famous local restaurants, outlet shopping, grocery stores and more are all near by. Be sure to visit Historic Roanoke Island which includes the N.C. Aquarium, Elizabethan Gardens, shopping in historic downtown Manteo complete with a replica Lighthouse and the outdoor 'Lost Colony' drama. Also, close to the National Seashore route south through Pea Island, and down to Hatteras for a day trip to the Lighthouse. You'll love all the choices available at the 'Twisted Fish'!

My New Favorite!

This place is absolutely amazing. Clean, comfortable and views that you can't beat. We loved our week long stay here and everyone agreed, this is our new favorite beach house to stay at. We will be back to visit here again.

Good bones for a great stay

The view from the deck and main living area of the property is great! The pool is nice and large & two outdoor showers make it easier to keep sand out of the house. Loved having the lifeguard tower on the beach right in front of the property. The kitchen is stocked with cookware and there family board games and smart TVs for entertainment. Similar big complaint as everyone else - I would contract with a new cleaning company. The rugs in the living areas look like they have never been vacuumed, and could use a good cleaning or replacement & we had to rewash two sets of sheets on beds that were supposed to be clean but did not appear to be - it was off putting, but not a dealbreaker.

Awesome location - house needs some TLC

We had a great stay, but the property needs some TLC / updating and is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. The real estate company that manages this property, Beach Realty, needs to pay more attention to the details with cleanliness and house needs.

Family vacations are the best.

The house was awesome. Big enough for my whole family and then some. The kitchen was well stocked. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all very clean. The basement was very nice and we utilized the pool table and mini kitchen. The private swimming pool was awesome. The gates locked properly so our little ones could not get into the pool area without an adult. We enjoyed our stay at Twisted Fish and would def book it again. My only suggestions would be to have a few more baby gates available to block off the stairs. Also the ground floor door needed to have some sort of child proof door handle lock. We had one incident where our 2yr old was able to get the door open on his own and walk out side. Luckily we were right there to grab him and keep him from wondering around outside alone.

Wonderful potential, but cleanliness is a BIG problem

After booking with VRBO, your correspondence and contracting is all done through a different property management company, which was cumbersome and confusing. The property has so much incredible potential and in an amazing location. The private pool and beach access is fantastic, and the size of the home and number of generously sized bedrooms is completely ideal for a family vacation, especially when looking for a private socially-distanced getaway. The cleaning and upkeep through the property management left MUCH to be desired, however. The pool and private outdoor space had tons of trash/loose garbage and belongings from previous guests lying around and was in disarray. The grill was covered in filth (flies, old food, ants all over.) There were concerning things in the home as well that we discovered along the way, that showed the house was not thoroughly cleaned (much less with the extra precautions the agency claims they are taking amid Covid.) Some areas were seemingly untouched. For instance, a bright red juice stain on the dining room table (we wiped up easily with a towel and water upon arrival) LOTS of black mold and mildew buildup in one of the bathrooms across the floor, shower stall, and shower curtain. Thick dust on all of the fans. But the most concerning were bugs! We had a number of roaches on the first and second day (large, flying kind) and the management company had to send an exterminator to treat the home. Lastly, the dirty linens from the previous week's guests sat in bags and bins outside by the front door of the home throughout our entire stay and were never picked up for cleaning. We would be very cautious to rent with anyone using this agency in the future.

Perfect for large group

When I first saw Twisted Fish listed it had no reviews and I was concerned since our last rental was a disaster and was told that is because it was under new management So I need to write that it was GREAT!! Two stoves, two refrigerators, two dishwashers, two washer/dryers and every kind of appliance etc you could think of Lots of room to hang out inside and out on the two decks. Pool and hot tub Just a short walk to the beach We rented a tent and 6 chairs and a cooler of ice for the week from Beach EZ rental and it was a godsend Needed propane in the grill and we were told to get one and they would reimburse us since it would take them longer than we needed it They do provide some beach towels as well😎
