An ideal place to enjoy a simple, welcoming vacation close to nature and animals, in a family-friendly and authentic atmosphere in the heart of the Sancy Mountains. In the heart of the village of Murat-le-Quaire, nestled within our family home, come discover our lovely, cozy retreat. Here, you’ll experience country life and get up close with animals: ponies, goats, sheep, chickens, a dog, and a cat all share the space, much to the delight of young and old alike. Children can approach them, pet them, and help feed them in a simple, authentic setting. Our cottage, just a stone’s throw from La Chèvrerie des Monts Dore, welcomes you to a stunning natural setting. With breathtaking views of the Sancy Massif mountains, whether you’re traveling as a couple or with your family, this little slice of paradise is perfect for a rejuvenating getaway. The cottage can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children (under 10 years old) and features the following on the first floor: - a large, bright bedroom with a mountain view, a TV, and a 140x190 bed; - a sleeping area for children (under 10 years old) with two 170x80 bunk beds. Children under 6 years old are not permitted to sleep on the top bunk. - a living area with direct access to the outdoor terrace - a bathroom - a separate toilet On the first floor: - a fully equipped kitchen We live in the house adjacent to the cottage, while ensuring our guests have complete privacy thanks to a completely separate entrance. The private terrace is located in front of the cottage, on the side opposite our garden, allowing everyone to enjoy their own space in complete privacy while respecting everyone’s peace and quiet. Outside, everything is designed to let you fully enjoy the peace and nature: - Private terrace with lounge chairs and a grill - Trampoline, swing, and a treehouse nestled among the trees… (under parental supervision) A true little paradise for relaxing after a day of exploring or hiking. You’ll be ideally located: 300 m from the center of Murat-le-Quaire (a restaurant, farmers’ market, tourist office, the Toinette and Julien Museum, and the Brasserie de la Banne), right next to the hiking trails leading to the Banne d’Ordanche and the Puy Gros, near Lake Pré Cohadon, just 3 km from La Bourboule and 8 km from Le Mont-Dore and the Sancy Massif—famous spa and mountain resorts with their shops, restaurants, and recreational facilities.
