'We loved, loved, loved Kaivalayam! The room, the staff, the views, the vibe, the yoga, the treatments. It's a wonderful place to just retreat from the busy wonderful chaos that is India. We were really able to relax here the last couple of days of our trip. The in-house Ayurvedic doctor and team do a great job in providing wonderful treatments and also the kitchen staff cooks up the most delicious and nourishing dishes! Highly recommended for when in Munnar.'

'Good example of a new hotel that can meat international standards and deserves to be recommende for this reason. We were upgraded to one of the honeymoon cottages and these are of excellent quality.The food is excellent as well, and the hotel is well managed. Munnar is also a very attractive location to visit.'

'All the staff were so helpful. No problem changing my room when I had a view straight into a tree... after that blissful view of mountains. Lots of space in the family room (more like a small flat) but furniture is rather sparse and basic. Food was very good and an extensive menu - the kitchen clearly takes pride in what it does. You are high up on a hill — so everything is a tuk-tuk or car ride away. Very quiet and almost nothing happens in the evening. So this is the place if you want peace...

'Beautiful hotel in a jaw-dropping location. Pretty good food (especially if you stick with the Indian selections), although not everything on the menu was actually available. The tradeoff for the absolutely amazing views is that you're way up a really rough road with nothing else around (but I thought it was well worth it, and it was easy to get a rickshaw). Beautiful and well-appointed room. Recommended. :)'

'It was an excellent hotel located in the outskirts of Munnar. The staff were accommodating and welcoming. The restaurant was excellent. We had many choices for the complementary breakfast. Dinner and lunch options were reasonably priced. Good complementary activities were available. Next time I will definitely go for a longer stay.'
