Doc’s Place

Doc’s Place is a spacious, comfortable home located in the heart of Munising, offering an ideal setup for families, groups, and multi-generation gatherings. With generous living spaces and a walkable downtown location, it’s a wonderful home base for exploring everything the area has to offer.

The home features four roomy bedrooms, all located upstairs and outfitted with luxury bedding. Three bedrooms offer queen beds, while the fourth includes two twin beds. For additional sleeping flexibility, there are two portable twin beds upstairs, a queen sofa sleeper in the living room, and a single daybed in the sunroom, allowing the home to comfortably accommodate larger groups.

There are two bathrooms, with one located on the main floor and the second upstairs near the bedrooms.

The upscale kitchen features stainless steel appliances and quality cookware, making it easy to prepare meals during your stay. A large dining table provides space for family meals, games, and gathering together. The spacious living room offers comfortable furnishings, a large flat-screen TV, and a cozy gas fireplace, creating a warm and inviting space to relax after a day of exploring. The sunroom provides additional seating along with tables and chairs—perfect for morning coffee or breakfast.

For added convenience, a washer and dryer are available for guest use in the entry mudroom. Outside, enjoy the patio or deck for evening drinks while watching the sun go down.

Doc’s Place is centrally located in Munising, within walking distance to Bayshore Park, the Lake Superior shoreline, Dairy Queen, the local farmer’s market, Pictured Rocks cruises, the lakeshore bike path, pier fishing, coffee shops, bars, breweries, wood-fired pizza, ice cream, gift shops, bookstores, art galleries, restaurants, and more. You’ll find it easy to explore town without needing to drive.

For larger groups, the neighboring Downtown Cottage (formerly the guest cottage to Doc’s Place) is located next door and can be rented separately, offering private space and separate amenities while keeping everyone close together. Please inquire if you are interested in renting both properties.

Base rate includes up to 8 guests. Vrbo automatically applies additional guest fees when more than 8 guests (adults and children) are entered. If your group size is uncertain, guests may be added prior to arrival.

Holiday stays may require longer minimum nights.

Winter guests welcome: Doc’s Place is an excellent in-town option for ice climbers, cross-country skiers, snowshoers (close to Valley Spur trails), and winter relaxation. Snowmobilers are also welcome; however, parking is limited to 4 vehicles maximum, and there is no space for trailers. Trailer parking must be arranged elsewhere.
