'Do not stay at Purple Lizard Villa. The photos in the listing did not accurately represent the room we were given. We arrived late at night to a property with zero outdoor lighting — it was completely pitch black. As two women traveling alone, this immediately felt unsafe. Inside, there were broken and missing bathroom blinds with no privacy, black residue on multiple walls, and most alarming, a front door lock that was not secure. 'My girlfriend and I were able to check into the property but were not happy with the cleanliness of the room. It was tidy and picked up but felt dirty. I found a dead cockroach on the ground and we decided to book another room elsewhere. We spent about 15 minutes in the room before leaving. '
