Regrettably, my recent experience at the hotel was exceptionally poor, resulting in a zero-star rating. Despite booking two weeks in advance through Expedia, upon checking in, I was informed that the hotel was fully booked and had no available room for me. I was traveling with my parents, both over the age of 60.
The front desk employee, Fatimah, exhibited rudeness and inattention. She engaged in conversations with other guests while I was the first in line and was speaking to her. Her justification for the situation was that six additional guests were expected to arrive but had not yet secured a room. The only solution she offered was to wait in a seat, hoping for a cancellation.
The customer service provided by the hotel was appalling. After 30 minutes, Expedia only offered a refund, which was inconvenient given that I was over 80 miles from home and it was approaching midnight. Furthermore, the majority of hotels in the vicinity were either booked or offered significantly higher rates, tripling the original cost of my reservation.
