Ruim schoon afgelegen huis

Na een heerlijke week in het ruime huis (voorzien van alle gemakken) werden we helaas bij thuiskomst verrast door onvrede en onverwachte feedback van de huurders. Hierdoor werden we helaas achteraf met extra kosten geconfronteerd. Dit hadden we liever te plekke even opgelost. Nu werd het van mijn creditcard afgetrokken en had ik weinig invloed. Tip—> vraag om duidelijke afspraken en feedback. Om kosten achteraf te voorkomen.

A pleasant stay in a beautiful gîte!

A large group of us stayed at the gîte, which included 6 adults & 4 young children. The owners were out when we arrived late evening to the gîte; they had pre-warned me already to say they would be out. They responded promptly to opening the electric gates to let us in. The key was easily located as per their message. It has a large parking area and we had no problem with parking despite having 3 cars within our group. The area is quiet, remote & relaxing. There were chickens roaming, horses nearby & two friendly dogs in the grounds. Also a small pond with frogs - the children enjoyed this! The owners were available by VRBO chat if needed and responded quickly to any of our queries. There was a small collection of children’s toys and books in the upstairs hallway which the children enjoyed. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of seating for all around the dining table. We used the Wi-Fi with no issues. There are plenty of bathrooms in the property, meaning there was never a fight for the showers! Each room was clean and spacious, never did we feel crowded despite being a large group. The beds were rated comfortable by most of the group. The private garden had seating which we enjoyed one dry evening during our stay. The gîte was the ideal accommodation for us during our stay and I would recommend others to stay there as a base. It was only 1 hour 15 minutes from Dieppe Ferry Port using the toll roads (1 hour 45 minutes for non-toll roads).

Super gîte spacieux et moderne

Nous sommes venus dans le cadre d'un séjour adapté avec des jeunes (10-13ans) en situation de handicap. Le gite était vraiment génial. Spacieux, pratique, propre avec beaucoup d'aménagements. Chaque chambre est magnifique et dispose d'une salle d'eau dedans ou à côté. Les extérieurs sont incroyables également avec la visite de pleins d'animaux. Vraiment nous sommes ravis d'avoir réservé ce gite qui est encore plus magnifique en vrai que sur les photos. Je vous le conseille vraiment ! De plus, la dame qui s'occupe du gîte est très chaleureuse et disponible. Merci beaucoup !

Sehr nette Gastgeber, tolles Ambiente mit geschichtsträchtigen Inhalten

Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen, das Haus und das Grundstück sind ein Traum. Sehr zu empfehlen! Das Haus ist etwas abgelegen und die nächsten Strände sind mit dem Auto gut 20 min entfernt.

Lovely house in Normandy

We booked 3 nights here to break up a longer journey through France. Lovely house with loads of space. Wonderful to have a bathroom for every bedroom. Well equipped kitchen - there is also a washing machine. Excellent communication with hosts before and during our stay. We had a couple of minor issues which were resolved immediately and pleasantly by the friendly hosts. They live opposite the gite and have 2 large dogs which we did not know about in advance. The dogs were perfectly friendly, but one of our party is nervous around dogs which sometimes made it difficult getting to and from the car. Many interesting places within easy reach by car - we visited the cliffs in Etretat and Fécamp, dined out in Le Havre (fantastic smooth esplanade for skating) and went to the high ropes in Woody Park. Supermarket and bakery 5 minutes away by car. Overall, a lovely stay.

Lovely gite but not a lot to do in the immediate area. Loved the peace and calm at the gite.

Overall very good. Would have liked parasols in the garden. The garden was a bit unkempt especially stinging nettles when bringing children. Having bathrooms for each bedroom was wonderful. Would definitely recommend this gite you others. Perhaps a gite diary would be good to tell new holiday makers where they thought the best beaches, markets, sites and restaurants, etc are

Great place, very spacious and well equipt!!

This was a lovely place, really spacious, peaceful and well kept! There was plenty of open space, really well equipt kitchen and all rooms with bathrooms. There was even the added bonus of having their locally made cider available. Useful to note that there is an additional cleaning fee if you dont do a full clean yourself.

Beautiful home in the Country that is perfect for big groups!

We loved our stay!! The home was very spacious, clean and beautifully updated. The amenities have been well thought out creating a warm, welcoming space that can handle large groups. The ample bathrooms are especially nice as nearly every bedroom has it's own bathroom. The backyard is gorgeous and is a great space to relax after a long day of sight seeing. Just be sure you are very clear about the cleaning policy and associated fee. The fee listed in VRBO is in addition to the $100 cleaning fee they charge you, and expectations are that you leave the space VERY clean even though you are paying the additional cleaning fee. We had a great stay and highly recommend this home.

Gîte très charmant! Espace encore plus beau et plus grand que les photos ne pourraient le laisser penser. La communication avec Raphaële était parfaite, personne très disponible. Il y a déjà tout ce dont on a besoin à l'intérieur! Maison située à environ 20-30 minutes en voiture de plusieurs points d'intérêt de la région, ce qui est très pratique! Nous étions un groupe de 10 amis et avons tous succombé au charme de ce logement! Je recommande à 100%. Merci encore!

L’Air du Champ was in a rural setting on the edge of the town on Montivilliers providing us with a good base from which to explore Normandy. Our only complaint is not with the house or the owners but with the lack of sign posting throughout Normandy . after two weeks we were still unable to find our way to the Auchan supermarket in Montvilliers there was only one sign which did not tell us any directions and the road followed a convoluted path with small turns and exits from roundabouts all without signs. I hope the Town Council or whoever will realise that there is a great need to improve directional sign posting for visitors to find their wY to landmarks and shopping facilities. Gracia Baylor. Fantastic place

This is a beautiful house located in a beautiful area. The house itself was amazing and plenty big enough for the 9 of us that went. The bedrooms are big, 3 of them ensuite, and spread out over the whole of the building. The kids loved seeing Ibis the dog every day, and the pony. We went out to local areas for days out, Fecamp, Honfleur, and Le Havre. There's also a Go Ape style attraction near Fecamp which the kids loved too. We got a tour of the bunkers on site from the owners. Although we speak limited French and they don't speak English, we managed to get by. Would thoroughly recommend staying in this beautiful gite.

Exactly what we wanted

Loved this place, the property is full of character and suited our groups needs. The owners are always on hand to help with any query especially given our limited French. Only small issue was there was no washing machine in the property, but again the owners opened up the room beside to facilitate. Brilliant point for travelling and seeing northern France. The farm itself had some bunkers which the kids loved exploring. Would stay again!!

mooi huis in natuurlijke omgeving. Niet ver van Le Havre en van Etretrat ( mogelijkheid om mooie wandeling te maken). Veel overblijfsels van bunkers tezien.
