Unobstructed open water lake house for friends & family fun w/Tesla charger

This waterfront lake house was built for family and friends to enjoy time together on the Lake. The views are breathtaking from most rooms in the house and the two person swing by the boathouse ensures water fun all year long. The disco ball and twinkling lights by the boat house adds some fun to the nights as well! We have even added a fire pit and some outdoor Adirondack chairs so you can enjoy the sunsets even more. A brand new black matte metal roof during rainstorms is magical.

Conroe is just the right blend of starry nights & city lights. This house provides a family-friendly, fun & activity-filled vacation or a romantic & relaxing getaway. Our guests have access to all the April Sound Country Club amenities for an additional fee--please note this is a change in their policy and we had no control over that. PLEASE NOTE THAT RENTERS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO LAUNCH THEIR BOATS FROM THE APRIL SOUND MARINA. There are several marinas in the area (they are listed here--read all the information). We do have a bulkhead with industrial sized cleats you can tie up to.

The interior has lots of gorgeous new light fixtures, the back patio was just remodeled with Trex steps, handrails & solar lighting & we just added a humongous refrigerator/freezer in the kitchen (additional freezer and fridge in the garage).

The downstairs has a two story-high ceiling living room that has a new buttery soft comfortable reclining couch, loveseat and chair. The Kitchen includes a dining area that seats 8 and a breakfast bar that seats 2--they all look out onto the unobstructed Lake views. The house has distressed dark grey hardwood throughout the house except for kitchen, utility room and bathrooms which have wood-like tile. Every room has floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows with views galore.

The kitchen has been fully remodeled w/new stovetop & all stainless steel appliances, utensils, silverware, pots and pans and service for 12 is provided. A limited amount of paper supplies (paper towels, napkins and toilet paper) are provided. You will fall in love with the farmhouse sink and the industrial semi-pro faucet. Countertop ice maker, waffle maker, electric griddles, Ninja blender...every gadget & small appliance you can imagine!

All bathrooms & the kitchen have granite countertops & new fixtures.
The patio has a cozy two-person swing at the boathouse and a picnic table so no matter what mood you're in, you can sit outside and breathe in the water view. An outdoor kitchen with gas grill and granite counter top allow families to enjoy the lake while cooking. We provide all BBQ utensils that you could need. Two adirondack chairs and small patio table are strategically placed on outdoor patio to catch the spectacular Lake Conroe sunsets. We also have counter height outdoor seating with 4 chairs and a table to enjoy the lake views. We also provide a picnic table with 2 benches for additional seating options. Two outdoor lounge chairs with sunbrella also provided. We also have 4 Adirondack chairs that surround a fire pit perfect for S'mores on the lake--make sure to bring wood if you're planning to use the fire pit!

The water is about 4-6 feet deep beside the bulkhead depending on the water level of the lake. They lower the water level during Hurricane Season as a precaution. You can use the wooden staircase that leads into the water by the boat house and swim if you desire at your own risk and we HIGHLY ENCOURAGE swimmers to use certified flotation devices.
At night, you can turn on the disco ball & twinkling lights at the boat house & enjoy dancing to the moonlight.

The Master Bedroom is on the first level. It includes a King Size Tempurpedic mattress with luxury linens and anti-allergenic mattress covers and pillows. It includes his and hers walk-in closets and full bathroom with gorgeous new claw foot tub and step in shower with rain shower head--we provide thick bath towels and beach towels. A Smart TV is in the Master--NO CABLE, just streaming available. The room has a floor to ceiling wall of windows to enjoy the lake views as well as french doors that lead out to the balcony. But don't worry about the light--custom black out shades cover the entire wall of windows.

Downstairs also has a guest bedroom with a Queen tempurpedic mattress, luxury linens and anti allergenic covers for mattress and pillows--the glass doors have black out window treatment for privacy and to ensure a good night's sleep. A brand new full bathroom on the first floor with step in shower and granite counter top on the vanity adds convenience for guests.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms that both have black out custom window treatments. One bedroom has a Queen size tempurpedic mattress and a beautiful private balcony lets you enjoy the wonderful lake views. The other bedroom has a bunk bed with Twin on top and Full on the bottom as well as a separate twin bed. All mattresses are foam Tempurpedic and have luxury linens and anti allergenic mattress and pillow covers. This secondary bedroom also has a SmartTV & large private balcony to enjoy the expansive and unobstructed lake views. Each of the upstairs balconies have two counter height chairs to enjoy the views. Both bedrooms share a full bathroom with newly remodeled step in shower with rain shower head with granite counters on a double sink vanity, new lighting and paint.

An upstairs playroom has a fold out Queen size couch as well as board games, SmartTV (NO CABLE), PlayStation 3 with games as well as a WiiU with games.

Downstairs we have a Billiard Room with 7 foot pool table, dart board and all sorts of sporting equipment like tennis racquets and balls, badminton rackets, soccer ball, floats for the lake, tube & rope and basic "play" fishing gear--if you are a serious fisherman, bring your own gear. We also include a Bose docking station with the ability to hook up both older version of iPods and newer phones as well.

A large utility room with full size washer and dryer as well as a limited amount of laundry pods and dryer sheets are provided. Tesla charger in the garage plus plenty of parking on the driveway. Gate with 24 hour security guards at the entrance ensures our guests' safety and privacy.

We’ve always taken pride in our clean and fresh homes, and we know this is more important than ever. In an abundance of caution, on top of our already rigorous cleaning procedures, our housekeepers have been given an even more robust disinfecting checklist, noting increased attention to heavily trafficked areas and frequently touched surfaces.

The Country Club provides many amenities (for an additional fee of $30 x night for 2 Adults & up to 3 Children under the age of 23) including:
-state of the art gym
-five pools (including a kids' pool and an adult pool). Pools are closed on Mondays.
-golf and pro shop, twilight golf
-indoor and outdoor tennis
-Snack bar, bar, and a restaurant, including a fabulous Sunday Brunch.
For Holiday weekends, the property celebrates 'Texas style' which is synonymous for BIG--Golf cart parade with prizes for best decorations, DJs at the pool, Evening Under the Stars themed parties, watermelon and pie eating contests, and much more. If you are looking for activities for the little ones, tennis and golf lessons are available and during peak/holiday weeks many creative and fun activities.
IF you plan on using the Country Club, you need to notify owner of which days and number of people that will need passes so that there are no misunderstandings and guest passes are issued correctly and additional fees paid in advance.

Within a few miles is the Waterpoint Marina and Naughty-Dayz where you can rent a boat for a few hours or the week and dock it right in front of the condo. Wonderful restaurants all around the Condo--most popular are Ransoms Steakhouse for a nice dinner, Crust, Conroe Lake House, Monty's Lighthouse, the Magnolia Diner, The Toasted Yolk or the Montgomery Steakhouse for a wonderful breakfast or lunch. A local favorite is The Cozy Grape which is a wine bar. Must see at Lake Conroe are Papa's on the Lake, The Back Porch and Wolfie's Sports Bar all of which have amazing Lake Views.

For those that are not familiar with the area, it is 20 miles from Houston, Texas. Nestled in the lush Piney Woods of East Texas, Conroe embraces you with genuine Texas friendly hospitality. It has small town appeal and big city attractions just an hour away. If you are celebrating a special occasion, please let us know prior to arrival. No loud parties please. April Sound is a family environment.

FYI: We do not allow pets anymore. We are so sorry. We love pets but so many people were not responsible in caring for their pets that we have had no choice but to not allow them on the property. No exceptions.
We welcome you enjoying a great cigar on the patio if you are so inclined. Absolutely NO SMOKING inside the house and please use the ashtray provided OUTSIDE. If you do smoke, please make sure you clean up after yourself--the lake and the yard need to be kept litter free.
We get lots of inquiries about having parties, celebrations, weddings, etc. at the Lake House. We are not allowed to have any special events on this property. You can contact April Sound directly and they have several venues that are well suited for special events.
