  • Het appartement ligt op de tweede en derde verdieping van een gebouw dat was waarschijnlijk een deel van Monterosso wanden (house-toren). Het huis kijkt uit op het centrale plein van de stad en ligt op 50 meter van het strand en het is handig om te winkelen.
    De badkamer en keuken zijn onlangs gerenoveerd. In de kamers zijn er marmeren vloeren en met de hand beschilderd keramiek. De slaapkamer is voorzien van een balkon en een woonkamer met uitzicht op een terras met uitzicht op zee ingericht met stoelen en een tafel. De muren zijn versierd met prints beeltenis van de dlla republiek van Genua gebieden

Prachtige locatie voor een redelijke prijs

Omdat we met de auto kwamen, en veel Italianen vrij waren, was er geen plek meer om te parkeren. Met de auto kom je ook niet het dorp in. Boven bij het helicopterplatform hebben we uiteindelijk onze auto geparkeerd en ons met een taxi naar het appartement laten brengen. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door de hostess Luisa. Het appartement is voldoende ruim voor 2 personen en heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. De inrichting is helemaal vintage ( uit oma's tijd) van bed tot tafel en stoelen. Het bed viel wat tegen Het is meer een trampoline ( veren matras) op metalen frame met een houten losstaande ombouw. Bij iedere beweging kraakte of piepte het. Het koffieapparaat ( nespresso) is berekend op Italiaanse kopjes. Wil je een Nederlandse hoeveelheid koffie dan moet je zo'n 7 keer het knopje indrukken. We hebben genoten van het terras met schitterend uitzicht. De tafel vonden we wat aan de grote kant voor het terras. De badkamer is erg ruim, met zelfs een wasmachine. De douchecabine daarentegen vonden we erg klein Zowel het appartement als het dorp Monterosso vonden we een ideale uitvalsbasis om Cinqueterre te verkennen. Monterosso is een redelijks gewoon dorpje met gezellige straatjes en een boulevard. Leuke kerkjes, en plekjes om naar toe te gaan. In de andere 4 stadjes zit je meer opgesloten. Je moet trouwens wel houden van de levendigheid van een stad(je) met het avondrumoer van terrassen en de trein die regelmatig passeert. Al met al toch zekereen aanrader voor deze prijs.

The location is great. It’s very convenient to everything. We enjoyed the view from the balconies. The place is clean, and the host thought about everything. We liked the laundry washer and hung our clean laundry on the lines. It was fun. Everything is wonderful about this place.

The property was clean and Luisa our host had the house ready for whatever we needed. The view from the balconies was phenomenal. My only issue was the stairs since we had quite few luggages. The stairs were steep. Location wise it was very practical you have everything around you.

Location! In the heart of Old Town and steps from the water. Views from every angle of the apartment and two balconies. Be aware, it is above cafes and in the heart of shops/restaurants, so you will have noise at night. There's the trade off. Washing machine was a nice perk. Clean, airy, and amazing location!

This is a very conveniently located property, and we had an amazing time in Monterosso! Luisa is a great host - she communicated clearly and promptly, and everything was very easy. The property was clean and very well take care of. To note, it is quite close to the trains (we're light sleepers, so it was helpful that we brought ear plugs).

Luisa‘s house was just what we had hoped for! We learned that it has been in her family for five generations, and is conveniently located in the middle of Monterosso. We loved waking up to the sounds of the city coming alive, and enjoying breakfast on the balcony. Both beds were very comfortable, and each bedroom had a balcony. Yes, the stairs were a challenge, but we considered them a great warm-up for hiking the Cinque Terre! There are dozens of restaurants within walking distance, and the wonderful beach is only a short distance away.

We LOVED Luisa's apartment. The beautiful views, spacious rooms, nice kitchen and great location that really could not be any better. Every step of the way, Luisa had every answer for us with clear directions. The views are absolutely amazing and the ocean breeze is priceless (careful - make sure the doors don't slam from the breeze when you have them all open!)There are two decent little markets nearby and train station is very close. You will hear the trains, but they are charming. You will also hear the bars and restaurants below but don't worry, Monterosso is not a town that parties all night. Most of all you will love making your coffee in the Bialetti and then having it on the balcony overlooking the sea in the morning with the sounds of the birds and gentle pine-infused ocean breezes.

I would highly recommend staying here. Luisa was very helpful and gave us lots of suggestions on things to do and places to eat. Wonderful host.

Luisa the host was very communicative and even met with us to share her family’s history with the house/apartment. The location was perfect and easy to find. There are two steep flights of stairs to get to the apartment. It was a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday with music but we were able to fall asleep no problem. Others have commented on the train but you also get the church bells which stop at 10pm and start at 7am. So definitely recommend earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The view is amazing. Out of the other Cinque Terre towns I would come back to Monterosso and stay here again.

The property location was right in the center of the town. The downside - it was right in the center of the town in which music was loudly played and revelry was had till all hours of the night. The location is hard to beat. The access to the train station and beach was fast and easy. But the heat that Monterosso was experiencing during our stay forced us to sleep with the windows open, causing noise issues. It was a conflict to leave the windows open or closed. (Note: there is no cooling in the apartment - just a couple of circulating fans. I’m sure most apartments in Cinque Terre are the same.) The property owner was more than accommodating and gave us great recommendations for dinner. We loved the apartment - especially the balconies. Unfortunately, the noise kept it from being rated 5-stars. If you plan to be one of the revelers, then this might be a perfect spot.

I read some negative reviews about it being close to the train. There is absolutely nothing in town, which is not close to the train, which is ironic. This place was absolutely perfect and the hostess was incredible. We will definitely be back again next year.The pictures do not do the unit justice. There is not a better view from either of the floors, which look out over the ocean. Restaurants are all within a couple minutes walking distance.The bed and the pullout couch were actually comfortable compared to other places in Italy. For those who left negative reviews about the comfort of the beds, this is Monterosso and I’m pretty sure it is tough to get 1200 thread count sheets. It was fantastic. I have mixed feelings about leaving such a positive review because I am concerned that someone will book the unit the week that we want to go next year. :)

Seaside view

The property is in a great location and is very comfortable. The host was very helpful and accommodating. There are steep stairs that may be an issue for some but I would definitely stay there again.
