A Stone's Throw Professionally Managed by Newman-Dailey Resting just across from the sunny pool deck and close enough to the Gulf to hear the waves crashing, A Stone's Throw will keep the mermaids in your family perfectly content. Upon entry, hand scraped wood floors accented by sky-blue walls and eye-catching art create a soothing haven for rest and relaxation. Plus, an open floor plan connecting the kitchen, dining room and living room makes it easy for everyone to mingle. After a memorable day in Destin's warm sunshine, either on the shores of the white sandy beaches at the end of Newman Drive or golfing at one of the several great courses nearby, this Destin vacation rental will warmly welcome you to your new home away home. The kitchen is chef-ready and the dining area seats eight so that all will be able to view the large flat screen TV hanging over the fireplace- the perfect set up for dinner and a movie. If quiet time is what you're after, the master suite's large bathroom with its jacuzzi bathtub and rejuvenating periwinkle walls is sure to do the trick! When you're ready to venture outside the walls of this vacation rental, A Stone's Throw is close to all of Destin's exciting entertainment and dining options. Just over two miles west is the Destin Commons- a popular outdoor mall, Hurricane Lanes- one of the area's favorite bowling alleys as well as plenty of delicious restaurants offering the best of local seafood. On the other hand, renting a few bikes and slowly cruising down the bike path that runs along the beach is a wonderful way to spend a day. Whatever you choose, the only thing set in stone is the charming nature of A Stone's Throw and the heartwarming memories waiting to be made. During Spring and Summer this home requires a 7-night, Saturday to Saturday stay. Any other time we require a 4-night minimum stay.

We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students. We require 1 parent for every 2 people under 25.

Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays. In addition to our welcome kit, we also supply basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, and oil.

We loved our stay in this spacious, cozy home! It’s perfectly located near the ocean and close to so many fun attractions. While the house is a bit dated, it honestly added to the charm. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and having a washer and dryer was a big plus. The only downside was the leather chairs in the living room — they were super comfy, but the upholstery flaked off whenever we sat in them, so we had to sweep up little pieces often. Other than that, everything was great. We’d definitely come back. Thanks again!

Air conditioner was broken when we arrived, the house was 85 degrees. The property management company said they performed an inspection before arrival, but was not aware of the A/C issue. They send an A/C repair man out and he said it was broken beyond repair. This was after office hours and the customer service lines was closed. We were stuck in this house with 2 small kids waiting for some one from the answering service to call us back. 1 hour later we got a return call about being relocated. We then discovered that the house code was changed and we were locked out! Again we have to wait over 45 minutes for someone to call us back. We didn't get to the new location until 10:00 pm. The customer service was terrible and the property management tried to make the issues seem like our fault! This situation was not ideal, but the customer service from Newman daily Property rentals was horrible. Would not recommend any property rental with this company.

We really enjoyed the property and location! The house wasn’t the cleanest and there was mold present in the master bath outside the shower. We didn’t have any internet the last day of our stay so it made it difficult to work. We give this property 4 ⭐️

Birthday gone wrong

My reason for renting this property was due to past reviews. We arrived to a beach house that had not been cleaned at all. There was dog feces and urine in two rooms of the house, the kitchen garbage disposal smelt horrible and the gnats were annoying. The bathrooms were not clean and the pillow cases in one of the bedrooms were dirty. We arrived at 7pm at that time the office was closed. The mold along the shower door told me the cleaning crew doesn't clean the home but what they see. The backyard definitely wasn't ready for a backyard birthday cookout. The furniture wasn't clean and the backyard hadn't been kept at all. I took numerous pictures to send to management just for verification. As the owner of a cleaning business with numerous commercial contracts this would be unacceptable. Management wanted to send someone to clean the carpet but it would take 2 hrs to dry and they wanted to send them at 8:45am. This meant leave our belongings in the open with total strangers. I rated this property a 2 stars because it was close to the beach. We only stayed for 2 days and management refunded our cleaning fee. Celebrating my birthday at the beach was not what I expected. It had many bumps and disappointments but I made the best of it.

Good location but House and furniture very tired. Would not recommend this place.

Furniture in living room needs replacing, the cushions and springs are shot. We had to put planking under the cushions. The guest bedroom mattress also needs replacing, very uncomfortable. The inside needs a good coat of paint, baseboards and doors are peeling. We couldn't sit outside as furniture was mouldy. Had problems with the cable box . Also had problems with the garburator which had to be replaced. Thank God for the staff at Newman Dailey who tried to make our stay more comfortable.

Beautiful, convenient, relaxing

The property was beautiful and closeto the beach. My only minor complaint is that the clothes dryer had to run 2 cycles to dry a load of clother (not a large load). Even though it blocked the mudroom/garage entrance, we honored the note requesting no to push the dryer back to the wall (or it wouldn't work properly). Even then, it just put an extra cycle in for laundry, and for 11 people, that is a lot of cycles. The living areas were beautiful and perfect for the kids. We tried on several occasions to connect the smart TV to the Internet with no success to watch Netflix, but there was a large selection of channels to choose from. The master BR was extremely comfortable and the master bath was large (shower door needs adjusting so that it will close). The 2nd BR was also very nice, and my only recommendation for the 3rd BR is to tighten the bolts on the bunk to reduce the loud noises made when someone turns over in their sleep. The kitchen was very spacious with a great layout. It was surprising that for a home rental that sleeps 11, there were no large bowls or containers to prepare/serve food (salad, side dishes, etc). We were pleasantly surprised to find the private fenced back yard to enjoy relaxing evenings and the sun room was very nice and semi-private. All in all, it was a beautiful home that we would happily rent again. Thank you for being a part of our vacation!

Everything was great! The commute to the beach and pool was awesome! The home was just what we needed. The house has such a calming and relaxing feeling about it. I would rent this same property again for our next visit.
