Enjoy leisurely strolls along the promenades, take the La'al Ratty railway from Ravenglass to Eskdale where you can take a walk to Stanley Ghyll Waterfall, or explore nearby Muncaster Castle and Gardens with Owl and Hawk centre. The quieter country roads are perfect for cycling or horse riding and the Lake District offers numerous water sport activities within a short drive as well as walks for all abilities on the fells.

Sledbank Cottage In The Hill is a luxurious home from home where traditional features effortlessly combine with modern day living. Beamed ceilings, Belfast sink and wood burning stove add to the character of the cottage whilst a comfy leather sofa, super king size bed and private hot tub add comfort and relaxation. Walks can be taken right from the door, being located at the foot of Black Combe the summit rewards you with magnificent views as far as the Isle of Man on a clear day and Silecroft beach is one of Cumbria's finest beaches and on Britains coastal path popular with visitors to the area.
