The apartment complex is great, lots of amenities as described in the listing. A short walk to everything you may need, shopping, dining and entertainment.Communication with the host was also great.The apartment itself is in need of some maintenance. We asked if they could take care of a couple of those maintenance items and they were taken care of in a timely manner, which we appreciated.Unfortunately, we experienced a more serious issue, which they also tried to fix in a timely manner. But due to the nature of it, it was going to take extra time and effort to resolve. They offered a different apartment for us to move into, but it was not comparable to this one, so we asked for a refund of the unused nights so we could find and pay for a different, comparable apartment.They accepted to give us a refund, and told us it was processed the same day. However, two weeks after receiving that confirmation, we are still waiting for the money to show up on our credit card.We paid for the new apartment in full and expected the refunded money to show up in our account within a couple of days as it is always the case.Fortunately, we were able to cover our expenses while waiting for the refund, but I can see how it could have wrecked our vacation had we needed that money to eat while visiting CDMX.VRBO hasn't been helpful. When I contacted them, they contacted the host to ask about the refund. The host told them the same thing he's been telling me. So we keep waiting.
