The Merindades are located between the Cantabrian Mountains, the Ebro Valley and the Meseta, which makes this area an unknown natural oasis. It has 4 natural parks: the Ojo Guareña Natural Monument, the Natural Monument of Monte Santiago, the Hoces del Alto Ebro and Rudrón Natural Park and the Montes Obarenses-San Zadornil Natural Park. All of them full of routes to see impressive waterfalls, wonderful forests and spectacular views, as well as an extensive fauna and flora.

Besides being able to enjoy its varied nature, Merindades is also a cultural treasure: its hermitages and Romanesque churches, its medieval bridges, its villages full of history ...

On the other hand, it is a center from which to visit cities such as Bilbao, Santander or Burgos or have a beach day on the Cantabrian coast.
