The property was great. It is very secluded and definitely gets you away from things. We saw maybe three people walk the beach the whole time we were there. We spent a lot of time on the beach, just sitting, taking long walks, and spending time in the water. We watched a river otter, an eagle snatching a fish, saw many waterfowl, and even a large snapping turtle. Who knew they were in Lake Michigan? The yard was nice, looked like one of the few with grass leading to the beach, which is just a short walk across the yard. The house was nice too with small bedrooms, but good living space overlooking the water. It was clean and simple, which is just fine. We used the gas grill a couple of times which is located in a nearby shed. There are some outdoor games if anyone is so inclined. The outdoor seating wasn't great. The chairs were cheap and struggled to hold any of the adults, all under 200 lbs. A small outdoor table down by the lake would be nice. There is a picnic table that can be moved down, but it's located in a funny spot next to the play structure for kids. We brought down one of the benches to place some food and drinks on. There is no outdoor patio on the back of the house facing the lake, which would be nice, but not absolutely necessary. Overall, the owners did a nice job of making this a comfortable and welcoming place. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking to step away from your busy everyday lives, though the wifi does work well too.
